Two chances of that .... I've had nothing out of him

He's that good a sales man he'll have highy paying more for things 😂

    Haha!

We will only be selling TT and bait. We will have a shop next to us selling the larger items though. If you come and see me @Highy, I’ll take you over to them and do what I can to get you a decent price on a hide. They really are the perfect all round shelter. Days, nights, weekends, weeks.... will do them all. And only 44inches packed down and just 4.4kg.

Mom our TT stand, we normally do a very good PVA package deal. £20 for a big selection of bags, tape and web.

Anybody got the new four fold Nash bed? Not even sure if it's out yet. Wonder if this is better to carry when not using a barrow

It’s fantastic and in the shops now. The whole idea behind it is so it won’t bang on the back of your legs when carrying it. Obviously, it needs to be lightweight to carry as well.

The bait I take on a 12 hour overnighters weighs more than the bed chair!

Well lads what can I say , very depressing day to be an angler ! Absolutely no big fish left so the common above has been had this winter as I spotted it in the summer . Even the small amount of fish left the majority of them had half a tail .

So from my findings today if your on a water getting hit hard by otters in a few years there be nothing left & what is will more likely be damaged . The future looks proper grim !

    Horrid mate.

Sure, knowing the lake &the fishes activity must be key.

I'm looking forward to concentrating more time on the local estate ticket I've had for a few years. There aren't many bigguns, but they are natural British carp. Beauties!

Giving up the big name syndicate which I haven't been able to put the time in. Owners put the price up £100 in 3 years!! + it's an hour & half drive.

Do you not tend to use zigs so much in the colder weather then?

Best of luck with the new lake mate. It really does make a difference keeping in touch with the lake.

Did you catch it on a zig Nige?

No mate. I’ve not been able to fish much of late. This was only my second trip since the start of November, both being short day/morning sessions.

I still try to visit the lake as often as possible, even when I don’t have time to fish, searching for them and keeping up with their movements. This allows me to put a bit of bait in places where I think the fish may be. It’s like I’m fishing without actually fishing. Then, when I do get an hour or two spare, I can try and time it with the time of day I’ve seen feeding activity, making more efficient use of the limited rod hours I get.

  6. Went out for a few hours this morning. The lake hasn’t done a bite since September 13th so was up against it with the little time I had available. The trip was really just to scratch the itch and get out the house for a bit and take advantage of these double figure temps.

Looks like I’ve found their new Winter holding spot after the last area I was catching from had dried up!

Come on then!! I’ve only started this thread for the story’s to save me spending 40 quid on Pennings new book!

So, when you book out churn pool, you can have the use of the lodge on the site. The lake is set out in a way that you can cover the whole lake from 4 swims. Each of which is close enough to the lodge to fish from safely.

The lodge itself has two sets of sliding full glass doors looking out to the lake.

When sat in there of an evening, we generally keep the doors open unless it’s really cold, with our receivers by the doors waiting to alert us of any action.

Micks screamed off one evening and as he ran out at full pace, he slid the door, thinking he was opening it when in reality, he closed it on himself and smashed straight into the glass, nose first!!!!!

phil and I were literally rolling around on the floor in uncontrollable laughter.

It was one of those had to be there moments but I still wet myself when ever I think about it!!

    Alright show off lol.

I think I've said this before but I don't think I've ever seen you post a pic that was not an absolute stunner mate.

It’s hard not to post on threads like this without the fear of coming across like a bragger!

I have been fortunate enough to select venues that I spend time on, that contain lookers. You can only catch what’s in the lakes that you fish on!
