I just saw this on Amazon.
So, these use Zinc as an alternative to lead. Has anyone tried them and would these have any issue.
I suspect these are the future as I think lead is slowly being banned around the world.

I have used a 110 ah leisure battery for years no problem. Put frozen food and milk in bottom of cool box. fresh food milk on top.
No need to run cool box 24/7 .Keep the lid closed . just run the cool box for an hour once and a while.
Battery will last a good week including charging my phone and running the tv/dvd.

Plenty of carp between. Orton lock and Dog and Doublet lock. Including the free water in town. There is a local guy doing guided fishing trips.

A simple lead clip when fishing in weed can't be beaten.

That’s good going I’d be happy with a 22lber Lol
What sort of bait would you recommend for baiting up?
was thinking about getting a bulk amount of maize and mixing with a few boilies and chucking that in.
I’m gonna go take a look on my next day off and explore the area.
thanks for the advice much appreciated.👍
At the moment It's a few handfuls of boilies and tiger nuts when you find them. Less and often is the way to go. i give it about 4hrs if no action i move to the next area.
Have pre baited a few places but not fish them yet as being mobile is working out ok.

thanks for the reply I know people won’t give up information on spots as such but any advice to point me in the right direction is much appreciated.
is that the nene parkway side where they go canoeing?
I was thinking about getting a kayak to get on the river to search for spots that are out the way. There's no spots as such it's about areas. Where there's lots of bream there's carp. lol need big baits to pick them out.
It's been fishing well the last few trips 5 out so far to 22lbs . Not found the big ones yet. It's best to stay mobile bait up and fish when you find them.
most coming out early morning. only one out in night.

Not sure about now but I know some seals where seen in there last year near the dog in a doublet.
Yep been up and down the river the past 6 weeks no sign of any seals.

Nene is full of carp. move around a lot. just need to find them . locals won't give up info easy.
If you have access to a boat get afloat go looking you will soon find them. at the moment there down stream of orton lock.
But won't be there for long.
good Luck

Nope won't fit pockets too small but ok to drop your boillies in.

Weird question
What is the heaviest groundbait you can get? As want to start baiting up the river. But its quite deep and balls to break up slowly.
Was thinking vitalin or maybe a method mix.
I dont really want to be messing round with soils and leams as it all gets a bit complicated
Vitalin mix 50/50 with plain brown crumbs great binder add anything you like. best mixed up has you need it ,

Yes you should be fine. i don't use my spod rod any more. i remove lead and rig clip on small spod to carp rod simple easy and quick.

Ok next question mate:
Will they be cheaper than Pallatrax Stonze (stone) weights?
Been told they will be same price as lead weights. Lots of colours and shapes . and some flat ones for margin fishing.
