Quick update on the big brolly, for the price its bloomin ace, goes up in a minute and plenty large enough for me and Mrs H to shelter under and mad bargain price
-
Not a lot lately for me, but i did get another 2 kilo of NFusion 12mm dairy nut boilies, cheap but i get on well with these and very similar to my 15mm corus Nut cluster, also i scooped a Michigan 88" brolly with side panels to use as a wind break when me and Mrs H go for a day session, dropped a cheeky bid on it before going fishing sunday as it was ending soon winning bid £12.50, this is new end of line, will see what its like next time on the bank

Had a good half day down at Brookfoot lakes Aireys pond today 2 Bream then 3 carp 2 were commons around the 10lb and the nice mirror was a tad over 12lb, i took brew making gear for me and mrs to have a decent brew and my trusty ancient Webtex stove was leaking gas big time stripped it when we got home and now ordered a set of seals so it will give me another 15 years lol

Nice Fish Nick, well in mate, by eck we are both looking old these days
-
My 1st thought would be to use floater dog biscuits and avoid the deep snaggy lake
-
Sounds like you have done the right thing, enjoy some nice angling with your lads, it will be quality time spent, i only fish the local club these days, got a few mates on the ponds and usually i really enjoy the sessions, main lake has some good fish but i tend to fish the smaller pond and some lovely fish to about 18lb, good enough for an old codger like me
-
seems each time i log on the most recent spammers have been dealt with, sadly at times forums just get hit with this rubbish
-
Went to local lake yesterday just for afternoon managed one carp just an 8lb 40z, lovely scaly mirror, jesus i really am looking like an "old codger" these days
-
I dont tend to lose gear, though many years ago i left a cheap little unhooking mat at the lake, TBH it was no great loss, only gear i tend to find is little weights and the like
-
That is same as the club book i fish, but night fishing is allowed however its a long wait to get night book and its an extra £140 for night book, lucky for me i dont really do nights no more and if i want to do 24h i can gust on for £20, yes fishing is getting expensive
-
My daughter bought me this at xmas, at first i did not notice quite what was printed but this is the perfect one for me seeing what my user name on here is and my err.....catch rate
-
Went to brookfoot yesterday 1st session this year managed a sub 12lb mirror on a yellow 12mm mulbz pop up
-
I fish a very snaggy venue that has all manor of junk on the bottom, so after good advice i went onto Hydro tuff and never looked back, does just what it claims
-
I really like the corus bait range and have had some good buys from NGT but now i have enough bait to last a good few sessions i have washed my hands of the whole outfit, i have found a similar bait that i can get and will start mixing it 50/50 as my stock runs down
-
small update corus are still selling 1kg packs of nut cluster on ebay so picked up 3 packs, i still have about 5 kg in store so this will last me a good few sessions, i only do days as a rule and dont tend to put a lot of bait in
-
I have never paid £3 per kilo, i think corus were not rolling the bait but bulk buying from a place in Europe and maybe the big place put price up and corus could not sell it on at higher price i was paying £30 for 5kg
-
So its now official Corus have put out a statement saying they are no longer producing boilies, this is the second bait in a row that has been taken of the market
-
Just scraping in the December report with a cheeky little 8lb mirror carp, caught it on a 12mm pink Mulbz pop up from club lake
-
I have watched some of this, and pretty much enjoyed it, like others i used to watch all the matt Hayes stuff on discovery channel
-
Thanks mate interesting re the NGT address and NGT now have some of the corus bait range on their website
-
try clicking on some items im getting "no products to show"
-
Does any one know if Corus bait and tackle are still trading, the website and ebay store seem to have no products to show
-
My new mk4 carp rod, this is a lovely copy of a mk4 built to my request, it would of been wrong to put walker name on it so its a "Rod Storey mk4 Avon"
-

If you still have the estate ticket fish on there, dont rule out the syndi venue it may be that you go back and have a great session
