  1. A shot on a tiny loop of braid over the hook just back from the barb( I cant remember what the media name for this rig is) works a treat on limp braid pop up rigs to get that same point angle, with added weight...It not one iv use often but a mate used to use loads and it all ways surprised me that the hook holds were good...I always expected the loop and shot to restrict the depth of hold.
  2. What cup's that steve ????? Did kloppy kiss the last five he walk past ??? thought he'd learnt from Kaka!!
  3. Would it still work as well if using a fox or Nash ???
  4. Is it presentation your actually worried about or hooking mechanics?? I use a nice limp braid and knotless knot. Try a few different set ups in the margin or tank and see what you like most.
  5. Are you not embarrassed to say this?? A top four team from the the old top four get pipped by relegation candidates and only just finishes above a average europa team???.AWs reaction to being above the spuds just said to me all the reasons why you are shi.....top 4 and never 1st these days....he as lost the plot...you haven't been beaten by money like most years , you been beaten by a manager that can manage and came second cause Muhammad Alli got lost his head!! I'd be crawling up my own, if I was an arsenal fan not celebrating
  6. Injuries???Vardy had a cast on most of the season What really helped Leicester was what Nigel Pearson did for the last 9-10 games last season,Ranieri came in and was fully aware of it and instead of implying his "philosophy" or creating a "project" he worked with what he had!!! A true manager and for ever a legend!!
  7. Rooney's goals to games in the euros tournament stage is 5 out of 6 ...But starting him means dropping some real talent, Muhammad Ali, oops, I mean Dele Alli would be better behind, if he plays in midfield then who drops out?? Hendo ?? I'd drop Barkley but don't think he'l start so who knows where Roy will play him. Luckily Delph signed for city to replace another English lad (Rodwell, remember him LOL) I'd like to see Defoe in the squad but think wellcrap ....damn cant spell tonight, I mean Walcott will get in over him, 06 all over again The sad thing is I will leave the bank after a short night on the 16th to go home believing we have the players to beat Wales.
  8. Well done catchers. Superfly that 28 is a stunner!!..........CM, 35??? lol he's using a cradle
  9. Same this end,I'v not spotted any carp, but I never spotted any last year....and didn't do so bad!!!
  10. I knew as soon as I posted you would pick me up on that...I meant it on what I'd seen before.
  11. Thinking about it ....when I first see the korda COG leads I had deja vu. I think Tels early version may have been a drill out lead....but cant be sure it was 15 years back or so
  12. It was a long time ago, but I seem to remember Terry Hearn talking about this rig in Angling Times.....Not sure if the "which way it lands" dilemma is why Iv not seen it since(until today) but I do think the flying chod evolved from this. It certainly would set the hook home, and maybe batter their chops trying to shake it out.
  13. Bait run should be full this week. All ready for the week after to start baiting and the lead up to the 16th next month.........then get chubbed out
  14. Flat or grippers if fishing on a slope. Pear( dumpy or long ) for distance. Square or dumpy are good for giving maximum weight on the lift. I don't think the actual rig dictates what lead shape or type is needed ,but where the rig is used definitely should be considered with shape and type. Distance, you cant beat heli set ups. Indication ,running rigs win all week long. leadclips???............they're great for ease of switching leads till you find the one that works for you..(and setting hooks and snag work) Inlines, semi fixed , free running and drop off are all rounders, great for bag work, but can cause problems on some bottoms as the swivel can get damaged if not a bag.
  15. Over or under balanced both work, now after reading Yonny's comments I think it could work against us at times also. Slow sinking, I'm expecting the bait to move if stirred up and act more natural, like the rest of the freebies, That's always been over particles though. I don't balance boilies, or it very rare......Pop ups I will over weight ... I guess that's the same. I watched swans kick up all types of baits I'v put in , in deeper water than they can reach. Makes me wonder what actually happens when fish stir up baits...though these days I'm always wanting a resetting rig as its hard to keep a rig in the water for long with the bird(thug for) life
  16. French dude, Carpepecheur. I think he has used one for quite a while, well field tested by him.... they seem well made and reliable from reading his post about it.
  17. Hey, if you want to pull your hair out. I once worked out it only takes 9" of leadcore to use as a boom on HSR with a 15mm pop up to do away with any putty or shot
  18. Just read Peter Taylors ratings for tonight's game against the Dutch. How can he give Barkley a 7?? he was playing AM, fair enough if he played DM ...that many passes back is expected, but for a AM shockingly (instant ban) he isn't even close to Alli ....even as a hammers fan I can see we need to start Kane and Alli!!
  19. HSR for me is with the boom horizontal and weighted. Not sure about Yonny but I have fished a chod with a short boom unweighted sitting vertical. It can allow the rig to spin freely 360 in silt or weed where normal style can be restricted from the curved hooklink.
  20. Its not a place I know. I do know that last year a 30 came out the SU , don't where, but it was in Anglers Mail. But I'd imagine that it could be 'decent fishing'.
  21. Bio-security in fishing terms (as far as I'm aware) is using the lake nets, mats and slings provided , or if trusted and allowed, using your own, once they're dried out properly. Its to stop the spread of disease or invasive species. UV ,and not the airing cupboard is preferred!!
  22. Cradles!!! You tend to squat and rest your elbows on your knees with the the fish centred down the middle....straight arms = big hands and bigger fish.
