If your someone who has to have their Bivvy all shut up when you go to sleep or a tiny letter box gap then a Bivvy heater is just asking for trouble , I had one bought for me last year ,but as I never have the front on my Brolly or Titan its never going to be a problem , and if the front does go on its because im facing into the rain and that in its self means its warmer so no need for one . So it all comes down to whether or not you have the intelligence to use one correctly , IMO they are not dangerous , The danger is in the way they are used.

  10. If your looking for night vision start at Gen 2 models , forget Gen 1 and as for binoculars the Canon 10 x 30 IS II Binoculars are very good but pricey
  11. The question I suppose you need to know is .. would your husband want or use a bait boat. Wave runners are fine from what I have heard, a fish finder is nice but not that necessary.

  14. Twilight with yellow lenses , really does make a difference , I found it when I was float fishing under some trees , one minute could hardly see the float glasses on and BOOM so easy to see the float ,
  15. They help in low light , quite well actually , not sure they would be much use in the dark though
  16. I fish my Syndicate lake for Pike every winter but I like using plugs , great fun but most are jacks around the 2 to 6 lb bracket ,doubles are few and far between and my biggest is 18:15 from their caught some years ago. Great fun on a Drop Shot rod , Low double .
  17. Without seeing the Shimano in the flesh so to speak , id almost say its a Tribal Velocity just rebadge and 4 times the price . Still if it is and IMO they are very good rods indeed.

  20. I use Fabsil , not used the Gold ,for no other reason than Gold is more expensive, next time ill clean the fabric first though
