  1. Quite ironic really , its not a problem to fish for Pregnant fish, fat footballs ,rolled around on a mat then weighed and photographed for a PB , but as soon as they spawn its a no no , your spawn of Satin if you do whilst spawning. Doesnt seem to apply to France, even the owners wont close and refund you , when you spend hundreds of pounds for a holiday , the times I have read , The fish were spawning the time we were their only caught a few . they never packed up and came home . Spawning fish dont eat whilst they are doing it ,but are hungry afterwards .
  2. If I fish bad snags ,ill switch to Barbless ,so in the unfortunate event you cant get it out or you snap off , the fish has a much higher chance of loosing the hook .
  3. If I didnt have three nets , I would definitely go for a 2 piece pole.
  4. I also have a 36" net , no problem landing 30s with it , I think 42s just came about somehow , someone probably famous stating they were a must have and then they just become the norm.
  5. If I was to use a Shelf life bait again , it would most defiantly be … Rosehip Isotonic … by Mistral Baits
  6. Just for info , 6L equals about 1 Kg.... Mealworms dry
  7. Mealworms will re hydrate , which is what I do to feed the Birds , especially in the summer when the have young. Never thought about adding Mealworms to bait though , ummmm like the idea......
  8. I think yonny has just about summed it up , If you can climb trees so much the better for spotting .
  9. Their are Treads on here with good info on the venue , youll just have to search . ,I believe it was ouchthathurt that fished it a few times . Edit.... Assuming your talking about Rockley Poole
  10. Have a look on their web site , it shouldn't be difficult id guess ,something like 1234.... or 0000....
  11. I use from time to time the Mozzie coils that just smoulder when you light them , Are they any good ,I dont really know ,seem to work ok I guess.

  15. Id be looking at chartering a boat for a day , youll have to do a search to see what fish are around in June ,
  16. I cant answer that question ,as I would not use Braid that light for Spodding , as I like to use the large Spombs/Spods most of the time , and the do hold some weight , im guessing if you use small Spods/Spombs you should be ok .
  17. Heres my Fox Duralite in action , what you cant see are the arms that extend full width of the bed making this a proper chair to sit on .
  18. Just the 3 of us Plaice fishing a couple of years ago , mates in the wheel house making the coffee
  19. Something must be wrong...... or im very lucky . 20 wraps ,so an easy cast , 40 lbs Wiplash direct to large Spomb and never had a crack off ,same set up as a few guys I know

  21. As with most things , its personal choice , what suits someone may not suit you , look at Bedchairs for instance I do like my new Fox Duraltie combo chair , and as it spans the whole bed ,its no different to any other chair when sat on it like this , you can use it stand alone ,but its possible a bit low , but as I said everyone's different . I guess the only way really is to sit on a few and decide what suites you . I also have a Nash chair ,very much like any other chair out their ,adjustable legs and back and works well , best part of 18 years old now and still in excellent condition , but thats more to do with the fact I dont often take it fishing
