  1. Looks nice, I have been getting mass gainer shakes as I lost near two stone last year now take half the recommended amount of a protein shake each day works that's for sure be perf3ct on the bank in summer, the one from Optimum Nutrition is packed with all sorts not just protein. Definitely works I shot back up to 9st lol.
  2. Got the front bag and barrow tidy on the way plus sides, so long as I get my tea kit at the front, the side bags take all the pod and bank stick gear alarms scales and baiting up equipment that sort of thing, be a fat boy evo once I get the rear wheels on it
  3. Happy it's not a mk2 otherwise I would of been tempted to get the drop in bag just to fill the gap I have only ever put spare clothes in the drop in bags as it ends up buried at the bottom of all the other gear on the barrow. I'm very particular about who and where I buy used from, I use FB market place, Gumtree and Ebay I will also collect from seller and check their FB profile expecting to see some fishing related content, if they are not willing to sell from home, might be a bit iffy.
  4. Seems to be one of the original fat boy barrows, they all come with a drop in frame bag since the mk2 came out looks like it's the smaller side bags that will fit this one, I didn't know they did two different size side bars and bags to fit they also only do the zip ones in this size since korda took over Nice find don't think it has ever been used fella wanted rid I think, the chair came from a lady who looked like she was clearing out a relatives house ready for sale, same again never used not a mark on it.
  5. Just back from my FB Market Place bargain hunt, got a very nice chair for waggler fishingand general day ticket stuff. Also grabbed a Carp Porter same again never used paid 90 f9r the barrow but need a bit of help figuring out which model carp porter it is, not a mk2 as it doesn't take the drop in bag on a frame, don't mind that, the side bars are smaller than the mk2 at 50cm the mk2 is 68cm so the side bags for the MK2 won't fir tight, they do a evo range that look smaller for side bags but no size stated, just which model porter they fit, advice would be welcome. Also the front bar bag my front bar is 49cm wide call it 50cm would anyone know the size of the mk2 front bar or the bag that fits seems to be same across the whole range. Few pics someone must know the model?
  6. Chods everyone must of bought a pack of chods at some point they are just right for hinge rigs.
  7. Depends what line you use you can tie a multi rig easy enough you will need to use a much finer line for the hook length as the eye of the hook will be smaller considerably so once you get above a size eight hook. Then you have the TC of the rod, a heavy rod anything above 2.50 test will always lose more fish than land using small hooks.
  8. Forgot to say, they are nice and long some are two foot others a metre so you can adjust the length or add a micro swivel.
  9. So who's owning up to buying the occasional spinner rig or pack of loops ( i really do rate loops). Ready rigs today are hard to beat in terms of neat and tidy and value for money, a pack of spinners and a bit of line is cheaper for most people in the short run than buying all the bits for various rigs. Trying some of the Guru ones they look good in sizes from 12 to 16, got hair rigs on the 12 and a bait band on the 14 for on the bottom, a 16 waggler band rig and a 16 maggot corn waggler rig, eight in a pack at a few quid each I'm not tying size 10 to 16 hooks on fine nylon to the same standard as the ready rigs especially the tiny hair rigs all lined up nicely so I'm getting ready tied ⛔
  10. Usually try for the mid range gear My carp rods are 10 ft fox torque 3lb test with dawia 25 mini big pits nice solid set up had carp to 39lb on them. Just setting up some lighter rods same again the mid range rods from Drennan a 1.25 test for waggler fishing and a 1.50 test for a lead rod fishing one or two swan shot as the ledgering weight.
  11. Saying that I did order a small unhooking mat at the same time I ordered the rods, just the roll up one from drennan perfect for what I want, I'm not taking my carp mat to sort perch and bream out.
  12. Got some Facebook market place bits lined up, need a chair for day sessions my carp chair is one that sits on the bed so not ideal, prices new are a bit much, so found a wyhwood one for 25, there is that much used tackle available I would only buy new for the delicate stuff.
  13. Yes be a manual to stop it closing on the cast my big reels are the same, glad of it nothing worse than the bail arm closing on a distance cast.
  14. Just put a order in for some light weight gear went with two Drennan Specialist rods a 1.25 and 1.50 TC two daiwa reels one for float and floater fishing on the 1.25, a 3000 size and a 4000 size for the 1.50 both the ninja reels one a front drag the other a front drag with bait runner. Getting ready for some day ticket fishing will use a waggler on the lighter rod and a single bite alarm for the ledgering rod got some nice little day tickets venus near by.
  15. Lol, no I'm OK with the oil car runs better than ever
  16. Must admit to nearly messing up the engine such an idiot, when I replaced the coolant I refilled the expansion tank thinking it would pump around the car from there, razzed it round the block and nearly overheated the engine, got back and filled the through engine cap, engine was bone dry it gulped it down giving out big burps as the air was forced out, my mobile mechanic would of never trusted me again, if it's an easy job he tells me what needs doing, with a very confident 'you could do that' added here and there.
  17. My Jalopy is sorted, had to box off the rear pipe work in the end the corrosion spot is in a bracket area of the pipe work so no chance of sealing it, if I can be bothered at some point I will grab a whole new, from the scrap yard, rear pipe system easy to fit that why they corrode completely exposed to the under spray.
  18. Can't go wrong with daiwa, if I was to moan about anything it's the random addition of folding handles to some but not all of daiwa reels, I'm looking at two small dawia reels one nearly twice the the price of the 40 quid reel, yet it's the 40 that comes with a folding handle, nice little float and ledgering reels.
  19. Oh the bit on top, a tenner as a gesture of goodwill, thought that was a bit light myself, end of the day I'm not out of pocket, the fact they sent a barrister to defend a civil case in lower courts made me very wary of proceeding their legal bills were huge the lower court agreed I wasn't liable to pay them.
  20. Enforcement of a court order without the correct warrant not as drastic as it sounds, forced a payment out of me by threating me with bailiff action then tried to recover legal costs, it was at that point I took them to court for execution of a court order without warrant as they removed my property without my agreement to cover an outstanding debt, which I did owe and offered to pay they were asking for unrealistic instalments I couldn't agree to, so I let them do their worst knowing they would step over the line, the court order they had agreed I was liable for the debt and they could recover their money the way they went about it was a problem, for them. Couldn't get a solicitor to touch it on a no win no fee, Tort law which is complicated and they only do cases that are above 25k for the kind of lawyers that do this kind of a case it includes loads of consumer goods laws and protections, got my money back with a little bit on top.
  21. Just looking at a Korum day brolly myself, not cheap are they, I still run on 1990s prices for brolly and similar even looked in the trusty argos catalogue they usually have a cheap version, nothing.
  22. Probably best you don't, you might be one of the unlucky ones who gets investigated by the post police, I could of took a short cut on a claim against me a few years back, would of got me paid out and all claims dropped, very underhand though, glad I took the long game, got paid in the end and all accounts are even.
  23. Just enough to redecorate the house plus new soft furnishings and a few bob left over to go towards a bit of summer pocket money, was thinking a holiday but she is still having ops so not much point, plus the prices for UK holidays are shocking.
  24. Back of the net! Just got awarded a smaller amount than what I was asking for but a win is a win and it is a tidy amount, plus it's more the principle, I don't like being mugged off when money is involved, the only reason they have offered a payment is because they know with a solicitor to do the upper court for me I would clean up, I can't do it myself as you only get one chance and if you get it wrong all costs will be on you, no ifs no buts.
