I’ve noticed similar swirls usually a single large bubble comes to the top an floats away after said swirls I’ve put it to either of 2 things insect or blackberries falling from the bushes on the island or the carp are taking mud from the island as minerals. If anyone has any other ideas I’d like to hear them

I used to have mine in a sealed container for a week with added black treacle then I’d freeze it in old plastic sweet jars the corner shop used to save for me the carp loved it I must say something I have noticed from new to old school we wouldn’t use particles until about a week old they would be like snot in the bucket thick sticky snot but they went nuts for the stuff everything did silvers bream especially carp 🧐🧐🧐 -

Topping an showing now we have all seen this at some point the carp in the lake I’m fishing I’ve seen lots of different shows a head an shoulders,dolphining to a complete crash out do these different shows mean different things or are they just being individual in how they show themselves

Everyone turns to maggots the carp become pre occupied an they’re no good for the lakebed if they go uneaten

British aqua feeds have got all you need I’d use a 50/50 mix with extra liver powder in jobs a good un and they’re well priced me thinks

Try a load of chopped worm highly I find maggots close a water off for months

I would do a lot of marker work find different depth if possible if not it would have to be an adjustable zig that would be my starting point I fished an old brickyard a few times and that was 50ft deep but we caught them on adjustable zigs at 38-39ft

At the moment elmo I just set my alarm and recast every half hr with the weather cooling down I change slightly I heat the sand up in a pan then add the oil I find this a massive edge this time of yr if you can find where they are lol I am abit set in my ways and do fish my way I can’t help it elmo I find being different to everyone else works for me

Thanks elmo I have used particles and have found them to work on other waters but this water they seem to hold off the baited area for days I’ve found a single bag an hookbait the best approach so far plus I’m not competing with the 8kg bait boats that every man and his dog seems to be using an not catching that was another reason just the attraction no food

Elmo the reason I use sand and not pellets or ground bait bream and i find the sand holds the oil a lot longer plus blends into the silt that good they keep coming back and back again looking I’ve just yet to land one but getting closer Can’t really get any simpler than hemp sand

I’ve a lake like that but you couldn’t leave your gear to go for a coffee one of the syndicate members would say you need to be banned for leaving your gear lol

I get that guys just have to fish closer to home if possible some fishing is better than no fishing I’m spoilt where I am we have a vast number of lakes here they just all fish hard lol hope you guys still get to wet a line. Stay safe everyone

Why is your fishing being stopped us this side of the bridge been in lockdown for the last 2-3weeks but if your local ie same area you can still fish it’s outside guys as long as your on your own Even on our social we still distanced drank own beers etc
