Lol I’ve opened a can of worms here lol if I’m not sure I check especially on ‘‘this water reason why If it’s not in the right place and you can’t feel it down how you going to know if it’s fishing 6hrs after when you check your rig or when the hookbait is still suspended some of these spots are a kids plate in size

I’m already doing what you’ve said no boilie crumb I use dog biscuits the reason I’ve been pulling back is because if it ain’t bang on it’s no good either in rocks very dense weed or just buried in a weedbed

I’ve found it works on some waters but I’ve found over the yrs each and every water is totally different Elmo you’ve probably found this yourself

I think every angler each has his or her own personal preference so I’d like to put a little swerve in the mix now if the said size of said boilie is sat on the bottom relying on the palatability of what’s in the boilie so if you’ve got a boilie that attracts all the natural life are the carp eating it because of the boilie or naturals and maybe size don’t really matter to much after all

I’ve used big beds of bait but not for a long time the only reason I use the size of baits I do I don’t think the carp in these two particular waters have seen baits this size and shape as I just tear a chunk of boilie mix plus I’m there to catch them not feed them

There are some huge bream in these waters this is a baby compared to what’s in there lol

Hi guys well I was using 18mm but still catching bream so make my own 28mm+up to a 30mm I’ve lost 2 fish I’ve hooked to weed or rocks but no more bream this bream is on a 18mm

I wasn’t being funny Elmo it is a good suggestion it’s just me I try not to follow everyone else and the chod rig is used to death up this place because of the weed I’m just trying to be different to everyone else elmo

I’m exactly the same as you yonny that’s why I’m fishing this place I love a challenge I’m up there tomorrow for the day see if I can put another piece of the puzzle in place I’ve been privalaged to see a few pics of some of the fish and there are some crackers in there I’ve also been talking to a few and one fella has been fishing this place 5yrs regular and has his first carp a few weeks ago

That’s just it it’s not invisible it’s a crater so blatant and visible it’s unreal and these fish ain’t stupid this place as I’ve said is not like any water I’ve fished before the carp rule book don’t exist on this place lol what you think they’re supposed to do -do the opposite lol and your not far wrong lol

This place I’m fishing is like no other water I’ve fished. Usual carp behaviour is out the window on this place you may glimps a fin or a bubbler if your looking they don’t really follow the wind and if they do they don’t stay on it,there are fish here that have never come out since they were stocked it’s like a whole new learning curve lol that’s without nothing coming out an it still being filled in with bait boats

I have been fishing in the silt I have been wondering if it’s that obvious to me where the lead is how obvious is it to the carp

The lake I’m fishing has this light silt like sandy clay soft mud what I’ve noticed with the fishspy is it’s that soft that even a 1 1/2 oz lead buries and if you pull back slightly it furrows like a ploughed field the hard spots are rocks of varing sizes would the old spoon leads be of use I’m wondering does anyone know if they’re still available besides making them myself

The world does seem to have gone crazy lol I’m an old school angler but must confess to owning and using a fishspy but not for fish locations I’ve been using mine to look at the bottom an to check my rig when cast close enough lol the lake I’m fishing is extremely weedy and has a lot of boulders on the bottom

Well tbh everyone I’ve been to a few different waters and only managed a bream or catfish now 3of the waters are hard due to the height above sea level that I’m at but one of the other waters that I went to in 4 days one carp was caught and that was only 16lb with is small for the head of sized fish that’s in this place yet I hookpulled on a sturgeon and plenty of cats were caught. i know a lot of things come into play in fishing but this is all over the country
