Well I went up the park lake at 4 this morning back home 12-30 lakes closed to angling yet the kids play park is open this I really can’t get my head around how is a single guy in a bivvy more than 4 meters from anyone unless they come to me not able to fish

I’m off tomorrow morning up the park lake supposed to snow here after so fingers crossed 🤞 test out the new gear an use my Kelly and hopefully have a carp or perch or two

I get that an yes but the depression has allready started an even tho I’m in a relationship I’m still alone some of you won’t get that but it’s true have a good Xmas all

I can’t speak for others but I need to fish for my mental health it’s the only time my brain is at ease

That means nothing with this lake even though we pay 80 a yr if they say no fishing only dog walking etc that’s it

I’m hoping to have a day up my local park lake even tho people are walking and running I’ve a feeling it’s closed to fishing but I won’t know till I go as not many fish it in the winter they say it shuts down carpwise so fingers crossed if not it will be st ives Whitchurch is full of crayfish so garlic pop up if I got to go there have a good Xmas everyone stay safe and be lucky wish everyone the best Xmas possible under the circumstances

I’ve dropped a lot of fish this yr also and like you sharpen my hooks etc also like you few seconds they’re gone hooks fine etc I think it’s how they’re feeding tbh I know I’ve lost mine to weed or roots

I’m only giving advice from others and am passing on what I’ve been told about boilie making nothing else as for the stomach of a carp again previous advice I was told they have a intestine with like three pockets in but they’re not that good at nutritional extraction that’s why they have to eat so much. Wheat germ aids this process Easy for they guy to check put it to the test an let everyone know the results

Through my own personal experience bait with wheat germ in are eaten by the carp readily I’ve seen their reaction with my own eyes and this was alongside a main company’s bait A carp has 3 stomachs actually it’s just they’re not that good food passes through to fast they’re lucky if they absorb 50%of nutrients that they eat

Wheat germ should be used all yr it aids the carps digestion they haven’t got the best digestive system so all you can do to aid it would be a reason for them to eat it !!if it is nutritional for them then all the more reason to eat it

I fished the wharf for 7yrs when it was free had my pb from there have a look at Celtic manor new lakes awesome run fishery who knows may see you on the bank somewhere
