  4. The prices for a camper van have gone sky high this past year with the Covid situation
  5. I do the both that is over nights for the carp and course fishing, love them both. If Iā€™m carp fishing and itā€™s quite il reel one of the rods in and have a spin or put a feeder rod out. Thatā€™s how I got the 3 x two pound + Roach. In between trips il have a go for anything thatā€™s swims at the course lake you get a carp about 8-12 pound on a float rod wow pure fun šŸ‘
  6. Had to check the date thought it was April 1st
  7. Well I got the nod today and Iā€™m in a syndicate for the first time ever. I canā€™t fish till June tho. Back to pastures old is appropriate as I first fished there when I was 10 so a lot of fish has past under the bridge since then. There was only scrapyards and waste ground then and now hotels and luxurious flats abound itā€™s very urban fishing. Going to be a Challenge and Iā€™m looking forward to it.
  8. Is that a remote control digger cus thereā€™s no one driving šŸ˜‰ I follow letsdig18 on the YouTube he operates a Volvo 220 mainly. 30 ton in four buckets šŸ˜³
  9. Elmo defo not a over baiting noddy, your a thinking angler mate with a plan šŸ‘ if the sliver fish are active the carp will eventually come along to have a look itā€™s in there nature
  10. I make my plastic more porous by piercing them several times with a baiting needle then drop them in a dip pressing down with the handle of the baiting needle couple of times so it sucks in the dip.
  11. Thatā€™s sounds like a lot of work. You be careful up there... tie the ladder off and a bag of sand at the foot of the ladder
  12. Well Iā€™m allowed to go over the border to fish at last so Oxford here we come, we are booked on Oxlease at Linear for a 48 hr trip 23-25th of this month ... letā€™s hope it warms up a bit. šŸ™

  14. Just seen the forecast .. say to your good lady I think il just do a 24 hr this time because you want to spend a bit of time with her...and do the 48 hr when it warms up a bit. šŸ‘

  17. Itā€™s valid in my part of the world the lakes I fish have more Commons in them... you could say the Mirrors are as rare as Rocking Horse šŸ’© lol
  18. Could be that thereā€™s more Commons than Mirrors world wide šŸ¤”
  19. Itā€™s in the first paragraph they canā€™t miss it šŸ˜‰
  20. As above but obviously make sure you got a decent depth of water before retaining a fish... I had a big carp on the mat and had to hurry the pics then was no way I would keep her in the retaining sling, the swim had no depth to accommodate her and it was a hot day in the 30ā€™s šŸ„µthe head bailiff came along later and wasnā€™t to happy about not seeing the fish being returned safely. I told him the my reasons and he came around to my thinking.
  21. In the past ABU were the reels for sea fishing I had all multipliers 7000c 6500 with the level winds removed and a 9000c and I won a 12 in a comp, must of the reels came in a drawstring leather bag a spanner and reel lube. Havenā€™t a clue what the quality of the reels made now are tho.
  22. I honestly canā€™t remember my last trip, the closest Iā€™m come to going fishing was painting a bridge today between two islands on a small lake
  23. I agree Nick the baits you mention have a shelf life and to just use common sense, but the tubs of pop ups has no written date who knows how long they been on the tackle shop shelf, especially now with some tackle shops closed, then we buy them and keep them for ā€œyearsā€taking them to the bank on hot sunny days Framey I think the modern hook baits are more than Lures they give out food signals, and itā€™s the food signals I worry about maybe going off and us not detecting it...or it could be that Iā€™m overthinking it lol... but Iā€™m happy to bin them and feel confident with a new batch.
