    Iv always been lucky but on one of the trips over we had a 3 van convoy and the middle van got pulled but they never looked in the sack of halibut pellets, not that there was anything to find of course. 😇 Hows the forecast looking for your trip ?

    I fished a popular day ticket carp water that had stocked catfish and I was shocked with the ferocity of them feeding on the sliver fish and no doubt small carp. Got woken up in the dark hours over the two nights by some nice carp and a couple of cats and as I was playing them most of the lake was in turmoil with the cats on the rampage. If you believe in Karma you defo do not want to come back as a sliver fish in a lake stocked with cats. 😳

    My mate had a bit of a wait to have Stents fitted on Wednesday it went well 3hrs on the table. He said the same about having to go hungry which was a problem as he has to take tablets with food All the best for a speedy recovery.

    Make a bag up pop it a bowl of cold water..add ice cubes if you want and see how long it takes to break down. I know Mainlines smart liquid will slow down the melt time.

    I’m self-employed and find I’m always chasing my tail, I just can’t say no to a job 😏… got 2 holls booked up, my own syndicate which Iv neglected and my fishing buddy who’s under the knife on the 1st of march having heart surgery so when he’s back fit and wants to go I’m off….. Steve if your reading this and I know you pop in now and then best of luck with your operation… and don’t worry mate if it goes all pear shape Il look after your mrs. 😉

    I know I won’t be attending the social but if I can suggest Linear Oxfordshire if there’s a group booking they will reserve pegs on a bank for you so not to far apart, easy parking and a shop on site Also Orchid lakes, home to the 30’s as it’s called. stunning lake and they drop your gear off at the swims which are bookable

    I had a year on the “Shoe” as my mate called the lake… Clear areas ? We did struggle to find them if I couldn’t I fished the margins to my left and right and had some success there 👍… including a 7lb ish male Tench which sadly I had on the carp rod.

    A fishery near to me has put a ban on spoding particles, you’re allowed to only spod boilles and pellets Iv heard of others putting a ban on particles as well.

    There’s a coincidence, just finished this minute some Ronnie rigs, I don’t use kickers with the Krank hooks just shrink tube.
