Had to get a decent pair of boots, got them in the go outer door shop. My mate has had a pair for awhile he’s done 300 miles over 4 months in all weathers and trails and recommended them, very light with no breaking in and comfortable. Black Friday £99…gone up to £125 Got a set of Merino wool base layers top and bottoms can’t speak highly enough of them, mountain warehouse had them in a sale both for £60 You can get them cheaper but go for a high percentage of Merino which cost more.

Been doing a couple of sea beach trips lately and I was faced with convincing a rag worm to get on a 2/0 hook. A beach walker came up to ask have i had any fish. I had the worm in one hand and the hook in the other and said to the guy last time I baited up was in 1986 not sure I can do it 🤢 He laughed and I just got on with it. Got a pouting on the worm knocked the fish on the head and put that on a bigger hook and catch a small conger. ..but for a moment I struggled. In the past had no problem with peeler or hardback for smooth hound or live bait I could never eat a lobster, crab or prawns, ok with fish and the best tasting one Iv had is pollock, which was on the bbq within 30 mins of catching it yummy !

Had no time for carp fishing been rushed off my feet in work always is at this time year which I’m grateful for. So been nipping over the local foreshore no cod showing yet just scrap Conger Me and a mate fished Saturday early evening for the tide up which was to high really almost 13meters

Just googled it around 150 miles … I could do it at a push 😏

Was going to put the pics in a view from a bivvy chair 🙄 Had a go at sea fishing with bait last time was in 1986 I remember the date as that was the year I finished fishing with a local club and had enough of the comps and big opens every Sunday I used for the trip my 3 1/2 test rod and 8k reel with a shock leader 4 oz lead good up to a 5oz .. wow was getting great distances
