  3. agree 100%! i'll tell ya my experience with the s2, a couple of years ago i was really struggling, and came across s2's and the info on that forum, got suckered into the hype and buying 2 pots, the reason i say this is cos i should of known better as i've been a home roller for over 30 yrs! i continued to struggle, it was just a period we all go through (blanking) at 1 time or another, AND it wasn't until another old-skool angler told me ya gotta just go through it, (blanking) ...anyway i was in Morrisons doing some evening shopping and they had "Bacon Grill" on special offer, i thought this was a devastating bait back in the day, what have i got to lose lol next trip 1 rod with "Bacon Grill" AND early morning the rod screamed off, lovey mid-twenty in the net! went back to my home-made caught a few up until winter (stopped using s2's & haven't used 'em since, as i have 100% confidence in my home-made) - posted similar to this and got banned at that forum! i agree for some it works and gives them confidence, great! but why can't you have a balanced discussion?

  4. Got out today... over me club lake... a nice scrappy common got in on the act and gave me a good tear up all the way in from about 30 yards out... Rod was a 9'3" Sharpe, reel is an Abu 77 Cardinal, had a smaller carp which didn't stay still long enough for a shot... also had the scabbiest Bream in the lake...πŸ₯΄

Yeah I like snugpak - recently got an SJ6 in black, was supposed to be for fishing but I like it so much its my everyday coat instead. I was gonna get another snugpak jacket SJ9 to go with the Tundra bottoms but I didn't want to rip it on the brambles, I've already got tangled in them this trip - cut my face up lol I thought the tundras felt more hard wearing than the SJ6 fabric. Ain't gonna be cold again that's for sure. For wet weather I've got the Geoff Anderson which goes everywhere with me all year round, Fortis didn't make the waterproofs then but no regrets - both excellent πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

  8. I bought s1 and s2 when they came out and all the coatings fell off This is why I said they might as well move the thread to sponsors section, all the benefits without paying lol but please let’s leave this place a SH free zone.

Coincidence. I just bought a pair this week too (the salopettes). I went for the Sungpak Torrent Extreme jacket instead of the Tundra jacket. Really like Snugpak stuff and tbf if they did waterproof salopettes I'd have got them too. Impressed with the Tundras though I have to say.

I'm quite lucky they don't seem to bite me but they buzz around my head and it drives me mad🀣 there was a hatch when I was on a res last year and the bank sounded like white noise, they would just swam around you. I tried them yellow candles which didn't work. bivvy all shut up with the mesh panels and they still found a way in 🀣🀣 I do get done by them horse flies though, they give a gnarly bite for a fly!!! 😠 I'm just a bit worried about packing the bivvy down and leaving it in the car and the moisture damaging it while I'm working πŸ€”

I found using a bivvy gets me bitten more than without but I do use skin so soft as well just in case
