  1. The best baits are nearly always the ones that are a nightmare to roll and generally have a bit more going on attraction wise, baits that go through machines normally have had to take a hit somewhere on ingredients to get them to roll nicely

    Spodding over zigs?

Completely water dependant imo. I had a great session spodding floaters over zigs after dark one hot summer night over on Swan @ Bluebell. God know how I got away with it as they're tricky kippers over there. I think it's ok on bigger more heavily stocked pits, less so on smaller or lightly stocked waters. It'd be the kiss of death on my current syndi - small and shallow - even getting the hookbaits out without spooking them is tricky. Wouldn't consider it for March if that's what you're getting at - I think keeping everything quiet will be critical for us.

    Spodding over zigs?

, I'm more thinking of using it as a cloud maker with a little pre baiting for a spring campaign, little bit of cloud and little spot prep at the same time ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Me too. Decent. Better than the Fox stuff imo. Have you read his book, Forces of Nature? If not, go and get it immediately (๐Ÿ˜). It's right up there with Tel's books imo. Really, really good.

Just spent ยฃ3.63 on on a band xpander off ebay. I think it will be useful. I spent a bit of time looking at the different zig bits and just liked the look of the thinking anglers ones, and being served by Oz was a treat, he picked me the best ones ๐Ÿ‘

I was always a bit heavy handed or is it heavy fingered? with the green tool no wonder the manufacture give us 3 in the pack. Warming the kickers makes them slide over the tool easier. I use the thinking anglers zig gear ๐Ÿ‘

  13. 8075g of bait ๐Ÿ‘ got 7633 in boilie, 442 in paste ๐Ÿ‘ Gone for 18mm dumbells ๐Ÿ‘ even though it rolled well, I'm wondering if I added a little too much basemix, next time I'm thinking I might add like 100 - 200g less and let it rest a bit longer ๐Ÿ‘
