Had a afternoon session on a general fishery with my mate, he picked me up from work and sort of kidnapped me š I used his gear fishing off the top with floaters but they wasnāt interested one bit ..orrr so I thought š¤ I found a floating feeder in his bag and mixed up some ground bait on the dry ish side, a small pebble inserted to give it a bit more weight and plugged off with the ground bait with a 12ā hook length ⦠and had 5 carp on the trot š³ Heres a pic of his feeder or his mrs feeder ā¦looks like he got it from a Ann Summers catalogue Korum got a small floating feeder I might give it a go when Iām at linear at the end of the month1 point

When buying my rods today i also spent 3.49 on these Jag aligners, I should be able to get them proper level with these and lessen the need for new buzz bars š¤ https://johnsonrosstackle.co.uk/jag-316/11638-jag-alarm-aligners.html1 point -

Hi chaps, just noticed this forum section! i joined at the weekend so i could get an I.D on a pair of custom rods, I'm new to carp fishing although I've been course fishing since around 5 years old. It was my Grandad and Uncle who started my fishing journey all those years ago, i'm 54 now! My uncle was a massive carp guy, he fished all over the world, loved carp in Canada, also Sturgeon and Cats in Spain but sad to say he lost his battle with cancer back in March and i inherited all his fishing gear. This has spurred me onto carp fishing and following in his footsteps, probably not around the world lol but mostly here in Norfolk. I had to take away from his house some 35 rods, mostly carp but quite a few old split canes, all bar one of those is now sold on, out of the carp rods i have kept the following (hopefully you'll tell me these are good rods) 3 x Diawa Amphorus Wisker Dictator z mk2's, 1 x Century Armalite mk1, 3 x Fox Horizon SFD 12ft 3.00lb, 1 x Fox 6ft Stalker, Fox Warrior spod, Fox Warrior Marker. Hopefully that's enough weaponry! Still got about 12 rods to sell, Nash scopes, Greys Platinums and customs etc. So I'm here to hopefully learn how to use it all from you guys if you'll let me that is! Cheers and tight lines, Chris.1 point -

Finally decided to start my river campaign only about 2yrs late! First night last night, one small carp seen cruising along the far reeds, another bigger fish breached and rolled mid channel and I got a few bream and a nice tench from under the bush to the top right of the shot. I spodded 3kg of hemp and 2kg of pellet just upstream and fished a 7 bait stringer over the top with about 50-60 boilies pulted around it. That was the middle rod sorted, the left hand was fished tight to the far reeds in 5ft of water with just a stringer attached. Right rod fished tight to the near margin on a 4ft shelf as a single, with a few broken boilies and a handful of 1mm & 2mm pellets over it. I was worried Iād over done the baiting/spodding on the middle rod, but it was the only one to have any liners or do any bites. Gonna be a challenge this venue, miles upon miles of wild water, an unknown stock of carp (a few come out along this stretch) plus limited and restricted stretches you can night fish stack the odds against me. I can only go to certain places, the carp can go anywhere they like! š1 point -
