Having used my 8ks for a while now and lower end diawa and shimano in the past they are head and shoulders above quality wise 5yr warranty, so smooth, I use a aerlex spod reel and they are noticeably better, I paid £80 each for mine and would again happily because I know they will last,(they are cheaper now) and they don't miss a beat I've never had tangles on casting, line going under the spool or anything like that, they just work really well

They will both work, cream based flavours can work really well in a fishmeal, Im sure JB doesnt recommend mixing TM1 with other flavours due to its complex make up, my preference is low level (1ml/1.5ml per kilo) of both these in a fishmeal food bait. Yes, I use it in conjunction with Nut Hydro and Special K in my particles

Iv used a set of the Cross Cast X5000’s for years got them to go to France and to use at Linear waters, them must have been improved with the newer models. I needed the larger spool that my Aero 10000xte didn’t have, was happy with the Dawia’s performance, got me the extra distance and dealt with big fish in weed… but they are a bit flimsy and plasticly. …

Doesnt have to be used with a fruit flavour, the beauty of making your own bait is it can contain whatever you want it to, I have used it with S&O with plum and Liver/Special K hydro combo for last 3 seasons plus

I agree with Elmo. While I'm a Daiwa man their lower end reels don't do it for me. You're better off with Okuma or Penn at that price point. Don't even bother mate. It's cheap Indian rubbish.

As of today they haven't spawned on the exclusive lake... but from what your saying it doesn't sound good .

Strangely enough, one of the guys who manages the syndicate has been comparing pics of stocked fish to my 23 this morning. We have come to the conclusion it is one of the rare 'Quarry' fish that rarely get banked, (don't think this one has been caught before) so it looks like the rig has confused it from the norm into making an error.

Seeing as the original Trop recipe that was released on HMBB contain BAF tropical Fruit which is in the same vein as Fruit Bomb I would suggest they would be a good companion.I would would recommend keeping the levels on the low side though for a feed bait as JB Flavours are generally very concentrated.

I know this is an old thread, but I was looking for something similar myself earlier this year and we found Firs Lake France, despite COVID we managed to go still and had a great week, the fish are in great condition and accommodation is lovely.
