Happy Fathers Day to all 👍🎣

just a little thread to bump up with updates on rolling my own baits as I have the time it seems silly not to. I will be using a few different ready mix packs mainly from john baker and haith's should be rolling by Tuesday my wife of many years knows all about carp baits so I have been moved into the outdoor cupboard for my bait making, I did say it's not a nasty one but nope no such thing as a nice bait smell just hope next door don't mind their living room is on the other side of that wall. turn this mess into a bait room.

Happy farthers day guys hope it’s been a good one I rescued a young buzzard after hitting it with the car late last night took it to the raptor sanctuary hopefully a few days should be able to release it

They said they couldn’t find any injury’s they were going to give it food and water keep it for a day or two and she should be good for me to release 🤞🤞

I don't feel that great today, we tried every ale they had in stock last night and for some reason a couple of apple sourz 😁

i'm too old for nights out drinking that's for sure, took the mrs out keep her happy for when i head back onto the lakes started on the bottles of hob goblin gold, nice beer tastes like a strong shandy then we got onto the baileys followed by a bottle of red not a good mix i hate booze as it is that dehydrated feel the next day is just horrid, think next time she wants a night out i will get a young lad in to spin her round the town, i can get on with my bait rolling then.

They take a bit of getting used to watch all the vids on you tube, I tend to go with 2.5 to 3 rod lengths shorter than the spot, you just have to cast it as if you want to hit the spot and it pults the bait all over the area,

My ex used to find the tiniest little bit if I ever had a bait rolling session in the kitchen, and the smell of Trigga, Liver Elite, GLM powder and Sweet Cajouser actually woke her up one night. No such thing as a decent bait smell, even cinnamon and peach or eucalyptus and cherry smells overly strong and a bit off when boiling. Hemp has always been done outside of the house, the only good use of a Coleman Peak1 stove...

i'm never drinking that sourz again next door got a bottle out last summer first one was alright then we slammed the rest of the bottle on top of several cans of carling i was battered when i left next doors mrs went mad at her fella he really can drink and i kept up not good on a hot afternoon.

If you want to create a spread but don't want to use the throwing stick,get a tfg airbomb, they take a little getting used to but once you do it's a good tool to use that's just a bit different to a spomb

I'm the same with a catty i wack my knuckles and the boilies go about 3 feet.😂🤣😂

The catty is no good for me, I always end up getting a slap on my knuckles from the pouch 😂 the stick is good but I done 3kg 16mm with it on my last session I think any more than a kilo I will use a spomb in future 😂

I'm the opposite i love the throwing stick and hate the catty.🤣😂🤣

Thanks Well I went to the pub with a couple of mates last night, we ended up rather tipsy, and it would appear I bought a 6m landing handle when I got home 😁

Airing the fishing stuff out before I put it away and the dog has took a liking to the bed chair 😂

not sure as of yet but if i have a problem i will use a power drill and fork like the match anglers do i use a wooden spoon in a drill for another job that pops up every now and then, works a treat

Might have to mate, they got them pretty cheap in gooutdoors at the moment. It’s just working out how to get it on your area if that makes sense lol. I’ve got the bug bad, I want to get out again, considering either going to a 81 acre reservoir or go back to the one I was at last time. The one I was at last time has a nice bank, lots of trees etc with a load of 20s to 38 just a lovely place to be and the 81 is a massive open reservoir that has such a blow going across it people go wind sailing or whatever it’s called lol but yeah the wind gets that bad you have like little waves crashing on the shore spraying foam stuff at ya brolly 😆😂 Again very good head of 20s up to 45 I believe. Might have to flip a coin 😂😂

I've just blown the budget on a £6.99 AD spoon (gone large) and a sabre net float £5.99 Total Spend £46.73 Should be quite useful though looking forward to trying it out 👍

I can’t handle it anymore lol in my late teens early 20s we used to go out all night and go to the pub the next day for breakfast and a pint with no sleep and continue drinking to the night lol. Go to work on a Monday morning and sweat the hangover out by lunch. Just thinking about it gives me borderline anxiety attacks 😂 If I go out just for a night now I will be sofa bound the whole day afterwards and feel rough for about 3 days. I go about once or twice a year now that’s enough for me 😂

It is just before Scotland v England in the Euro’s Group game. Kane goes into the English changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum. "What's up?" he asks. "Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Scotland. They're [censored]e and we can't be bothered". Kane looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub." So Kane goes out to play Scotland by himself and the rest of the English team go off for a few pints. After a few jars they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads "England 1 - Scotland 0 (Kane 10minutes)". He is beating Scotland all by himself! Anyway, a few more pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on". They put the teletext on. "Result from the Stadium "England 1 (Kane 10 minutes) - Scotland 1"(Angus McShagnasty 89 minutes)". They can't believe it, he has single handedly got a draw against Scotland!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate him. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands. He refuses to look at them. "I've let you down, I've let you down." "Don't be daft, you got a draw against Scotland , all by yourself. And they only scored at the very very end" "No, No, I have, I've let you down... I got sent off after 12 minutes"
