Well I collected the ticket for my new club at the weekend so just need to attach a passport photo and i'll be good to go, I'm going to try and have a walk around one of the lakes on Saturday and fish it on Monday. 🙂👍

There’s a fine point (haha see what I did there) between sharp enough and too sharp I think 1 too many strokes of the file and the point just goes .

I got my jag file today makes light work of hook sharpening and does a decent job, the eze laps were ok but the jag file is better, quicker and seems to make a better sharper point, So Watch out carp im coming for you 😏😁😱🤔

I assume you mean anti tangle sleeves? They are used to prevent the trace from tangling on the main line, which happens more often than people think. When a heavy lead sinks, it is very easy for a supple trace to 'spiral' around the main line but when you wind in, it will probably unravel itself and you don't know you've been fishing ineffectively all the time. They also help stiffer rigs to reset if a fish picks up the bait and spits it out by pushing the trace away from the lead. You can reduce the possibility of tangles by always hitting the clip on the cast and feeling it down on a tight line.

Mid November 2018 I was Lake, Dog, Cat and house sitting at Rushes Lake, Vire en Champagne, Sarthe. There are boar and deer in the immediately adjacent woods. Before the owner departed he asked me to be sure that the dog was indoors at all times on the Sunday. When I asked why the reply was "Because the locals hunt the in the woods most Sundays and they shoot at everything that moves and this includes each other ". I was sorely disappointed when they didn't show up. Ian.

Spent the evening reading up about the SJ3 Yonny, and after watching a video on them decided to go with one. The guy in the vid said they tend to come up a bit big so bit the bullet and went for a Large. Managed to pick one up for £102.00 which is the cheapest I've found. Camo of course.....🙄 I'll let you know what I think when it arrives (early part of next week apparently). Thanks for your suggestions guys
