  2. I've been updated with my solicitor. Claim has been put into the Defendant to there Main Head Office, due to me having to wait 6months for any result's, the claim has been put in for 6months wages, they take no more than 25%, there won't be a penny out of my pocket (written into contract)...8 weeks to reply.

  6. Spawning tubercles are usually all over not just the head ”During the spring, they frequently develop spawning tubercles over their gill plates, along their flanks and on their fins. Spawning tubercles have the appearance of grains of sand on the fishes' bodies and can give them a slightly rough feel if rubbed gently. β€œ or read this one https://carpworld.co.uk/from-the-bivvy/all-you-need-to-know-how-long-do-carp-really-spawn-for/
  7. Don't think it was F1 as it had both sets of barbels. I thought spawning just made them have nodules on they're head n pectoral fin but not all over πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ. I did pass the info onto the owner with pics but they don't know alot about fish
  8. Looks like a f1 Carp their sterile but still go through the spawning process, could pass on the info to a bailiff or the owner

    May catch reports

Finally got 2 nights in the new bivvy on a old estate lake. It's abit of a mystery what's in the lake. The current owners don't know what's in there. It fished steadily whilst the weather was nice. Then early hours Monday morning the wind changed n that was it for the fish Managed to get a few nice grass carp on the bank, biggest was 17.76lb. Plenty of tidy sized tench, biggest was at 8.66(new PB). 2 small commons at 10lbs and a horrible snotty eel.
  11. Anyone know what's up with this common. It was rough from its head right down to it's tail. I know they're face gets rough during spawning but this was all over and ain't the water still to cold for spawning. The scales also felt bumpy like a pineapple.
  12. Hi all I have just signed up as i have been away from fishing for a few years due to other "2 wheeled" interests taking priority. I used to be a member of the SDAA (Shefford and District) ticket for many years then moved to the Priory ticket in Weston for a few years. Not been on a ticket for a couple of years but just rejoined the SDAA ticket for the coming season. I dont claim to be an expert (or even that good) but i just enjoy carp fishing and am hoping to get time to spend some time on the bank. Hoping to get (and give a little if i can) some advise and guidance from like minded anglers.
  13. Me too - once you start with the technique it's cemented in the brain. I started after trying to get it to drop in a thin gulley but the lead would either stick in the far bank clay or swing too far back.
  14. Good tip that. I actually use this method regardless of the size of the spot, makes it easier not having to adjust for small spots surrounded by weed. Just remember that the spod will have to be wrapped up slightly shorter to accommodate the pull-back (if that makes sense).
  15. Just to add to find the drops in weed you will only do this if you alter your leading technique or how you get the lead to drop down more vertically, it's no good going down in the usual arc you'll just hit the weed either side of the tiny gap, hang up in the weed and you'll think theres no gaps. Hit the clip, pull back instantly (rod up verticalish) so the lead is pulled back up towards the surface if you like or scimmed accross the surface, then follow it staight down, reducing the arc massively. If you can get a drop like that every time and whip the rig back out clean it's perfect. Hope that makes sense.
