jules007 Posted Friday at 20:14 Report Posted Friday at 20:14 I am tempted to get the IBobber sonar that can be cast from a carp rod and does lake mapping back to a smart phone via Bluetooth, has any one used this device, and would i need to use a heavy rod with braid or could i get away with 18lb Mono on a 2.75 rod just casting short distance Quote
elmoputney Posted Friday at 20:42 Report Posted Friday at 20:42 I probably wouldn't bother, I have a deeper pro+ and I hardly use it. I find it annoying tbh it connects for a bit and then disconnects itself, I then had to get a WiFi extender to make it work over 50yds and I just found it a complete faff. I prefer my eyes and a lead these days. emmcee, jules007, jh92 and 1 other 4 Quote

jh92 Posted Saturday at 15:20 Report Posted Saturday at 15:20 If the app isn't available from the app store, you can download the apk file online and install it that way, it might work even though your phone isn't supported jules007 1 Quote

Yes my Deeper Pro+ is so much quicker at mapping than a marker float , and lead , but I can never find the interesting spots the Deeper finds later on with my Marker . elmoputney and jules007 2 Quote

Then you find that you need a new mobile as it isn't new enough to support the App. . As I'm well into my sixties I feel like I'm being marginalised , and the world's just for youngsters like Elmo ! . 😁 jules007 and elmoputney 1 1 Quote

Else it's a hardware issue then a new device is needed lol 👍 Best of luck 👍 jules007 1 Quote
