jh92
Has anyone fished this lake? Looking at going for the all inclusive package where you just bring your reels, alarms, sleeping bag, tackle and then everything else is provided. Any information or anything would be great 👍 Higham1987

Heskymo
I fished this last year and really enjoyed it, absolutely stunning venue and will definitely be back one day. Was setup in it's current guise by Nash, but something went on and he had to get out of there, there's a Nash podcast about it and worth the listen to get Kev's side of the story, or as he tells it. We drove down, which from Lancashire was a bit too far, 2 days there and 2 days back and will definitely fly next time. We fished in the Sanctuary swim, or the Oven as some call it, and we found out why even in the early October sunshine. It's a boat job to get your kit there, but they do that for you. You'll also need boats to get to the facilities from there, it's a boat across one section, walk through the forest a bit then a rope ferry across to the other side, proper adventure and don't be put off by that, only a handful of swims are in that vein. You get plenty of water and it's all very straight forward what water is yours. Mark the Owner was great as were the Bailiff's. Food package was good and well worth having, fishing was good for us, brilliant for some and not so great for others, but that's fishing, I think you'd be unlucky to have a bad week on there. There were quite a few smaller fish being caught, and I mean pasties, some were affected but others didn't have any. I only had 2, and had several other fish to 49lb, quite a few thirties. Lost a right lump out in the middle of the lake in the lilies. Fishing into the lilies can be daunting but is exciting stuff fishing tight lines and fairly locked up at 200 yds approx (not many areas at this range), hitting single beeps and out in the boat to land a few fish, but I quite enjoy that style of fishing when it's required. It's a stunning lake and some swims are an adventure to get to shall we say, but all part of the experience. Definitely will be going back in the future, but will be flying! jh92
Carpbell3
Looks a nice place have looked at it before for a French visit. Just watched the pod cast the talks about Nash's lakes, his side does sound a bit rough, looks like he was just going to get messed around with bills and red tape if he fought to keep the place. Think all lake owners get accused of nicking fish from rivers and canals I take it as rumours the fella who runs Wellingborough gets the same said about him, and I doubt he would go out nicking fish for his lakes, the stock in those lakes is well selected from honest suppliers once you see what's in those lakes you will want a Dinton ticket. The Nash ones weren't rumours. A French carp society meeting he admitted it on video. I don't think I still have pictures of the transcripts, but I believe I posted them on the forum

He even posted it on FB not long ago. All stockings since about 2007 have been 100% kosher though. Some of the old ones that were obtained through questionable means are still in there (the zip lin in Island being an example).

Fair play to him he has put the work I on the lakes, he don't half get moaned about by anglers local to that area. Be well out of my price range these days.
