B B Posted April 15 Report Share Posted April 15 I’ve got a Anker power bank cost around £30 ish off the bay of e which I’m happy with 4 charges on a iPhone and used it with my heated sleeping bag ok. elmoputney Posted April 16 Report Share Posted April 16 (edited) I think I've got an anker too, seems to do a few charges tbh, I bought an honor phone recently to replace a broken one battery lasts me 2 days and I use it pretty heavily, im still amaze by that because I've never had one that lasts over a day 😳 Ridgemonkey lights seem to last a while too between charges. Get one of the newer anker ones with usb C fast charging abilities they will charge your phone much faster. jh92 Posted April 16 Report Share Posted April 16 If you have power tools you can get a USB adapter for the batteries, about £10 I think, I think mine hold about 2 phone charges each. Also have the allpowers r600 with a 100w solar panel for long sessions. I purchased a fox camo bivvy bucket(not fox). I've not tested it yet... Just finishing getting all the stuff I think I need for a comfortable weekend fishing. Just gotta decide on a bivvy heater now. Too many 'accidents' with bivvy heaters, burnt down bivvies, and deaths from carbon monoxide poisoning. Even using a stove in the bivvy is a risk. Think I'll go with what I got n see how she gets on. If she gets cold I'll just get her to push my monster barrow around for a while, that'll warm her up lol. My bivvy got a overwrap aswell. I'm not sure on the effectiveness of most fishing tackle brand winter clothing, as most are not outdoor specialists in the clothing range. I prefer army surplus, hunting or shooting clothing. My cold weather clothing is from army surplus, and Hoggs of Fife, along with Merino wool socks. Top half is usually t-shirt, Norgie or UBAC with a standard fleece on top, and a Hoggs Strathmoor jacket on top, (look at current outdoor shooting or hunting jackets), or a DPM wind and water resistant smock on top. Bottom half is combats with Hoggs overtrousers, and the Merino under my combat boots. For the neck I do have either a snood or my shemagh. That is cold winter wear!
