framey Posted September 22, 2021 Report Posted September 22, 2021 So I am actually going to venture out tomorrow for the first time since they stopped us going at the beginning of the last lockdown Not actually feeling it yet either hopefully it changes when I get there… elmoputney and dayvid 2 Quote
ouchthathurt Posted September 22, 2021 Report Posted September 22, 2021 When you get on the bank it will all make sense mate 👍 ive gone through stages of not feeling it but the bug always comes back. Recently I’ve been hunting bass on the beaches, it suits my current lifestyle as I can get out for a few hours rather than doing an overnighter. A change is as good as a rest sometimes. It’s not been going to badly… kevtaylor, salokcinnodrog, Pete Springate's Guns and 3 others 6 Quote

elmoputney Posted September 23, 2021 Report Posted September 23, 2021 I'm going tomorrow morning, went today and did some work at the lake and snuck some bait in, they were eating it by the time I left, I am excited now 😱 ... 1 Quote

salokcinnodrog Posted September 26, 2021 Report Posted September 26, 2021 I'm off today until Friday. I was supposed to be going to Redmire, but dog sitter let me down, (not necessarily a bad thing), and seeing how weedy Redmire is at the moment put me off, so it is over to the syndicate lake. Plenty of pellets, maize and boilies in the gear, along with the dog food and tackle. Really not sure how to approach the lake as sitting and waiting for the fish to come over bait has not really worked. Finding them in 40acres of very weedy water can be tough, swans, tufties and coots make life harder elmoputney 1 Quote

Rules are tight, no remote control boats, no boating bait and hookbaits out, boats only to be used to free weeded fish, but only if there is someone else on the lake. Quote

It's a difficult water, maybe 120 carp in 45 acres, add the wind, swans, coots, tufties and weed, every fish is earned. Got wiped out by swans and drifting blanket weed a couple of times. Quote
