jimmy_c Posted April 18, 2021 Report Posted April 18, 2021 on the topic of flavouring plastic i remember when they were first out, and Frank Warwick saying that only certain types of flavour will penetrate them, i cant remember exactly what sort, maybe ethyl alcohol?, but i'm not sure. At the time enterprise did pots of flavour specifically designed for plastics, and i've still got a couple of pots, you might still find some on ebay if you do a search. Quote

B B Posted April 19, 2021 Report Posted April 19, 2021 I make my plastic more porous by piercing them several times with a baiting needle then drop them in a dip pressing down with the handle of the baiting needle couple of times so it sucks in the dip. ... 1 Quote
chillfactor Posted April 19, 2021 Report Posted April 19, 2021 Foams good for taking on additives.... give it a squeeze with forceps while submerged. Awesome for zigs . Quote
salokcinnodrog Posted April 20, 2021 Report Posted April 20, 2021 I still keep on thinking about plastics, but my syndicate bans all fake baits, including cork balls and foam, quite possibly because of the bird life. Quote

Carpbell_ll Posted April 22, 2021 Report Posted April 22, 2021 Think they are sort of banned on the lake i fish is due to they can sit fishing on a snapped off rig for years, they do allow zigs but it's a don't snap off or don't fish them if not sure, plus zigs should float if lost. Quote

Ha ha. No fake baits unless you're on zigs because that's what the gaffa likes to use over the road🤣 Carpbell_ll 1 Quote
