And while we're at it, could somebody pop up to the lake and plumb his swim? :shock:

Sorry mate, sounds harsh but do you want a plate for the fish too?

Hey, i have fished at a lake for 3 days and caught 2 fish, disappointing. Could someone tell me the latest rig which could up my catch rate plz, and the most Favorited bait as well. The lake potential is 36lb.

Thanks! :D

you dont need "the latest rig" just stick to a simple one with a decent bait and look for where the fish are

is this a joke,whose re-registered for a laugh ????

either that or its a sad fact that natural selection has been badly effected by so many health and safety laws :cry:

Hehe :lol:

There are no magic bullets! Occasionally the mags give the impression that if you use THE rig and/or THE bait you'll crack whatever water you're fishing. As everyone has pointed out getting to know your water, thinking about where the fish patrol, how, when and where they feed, discovering features etc, are far more important than using the latest super-rig.

And thank god too I reckon - there's a lifetime and more of learning and improving there which makes it fascinating and keeps your interest. How boring and unsatisfying would it be if all you had to do was take a rig off the shelf (so to speak) and you'd cracked it :roll:

Andy, could you tell me some secrets pleeeese , be ya best mate

pre-baiting only works if you fish the same swim as you throw the bait into :wink::wink:

what you want is a 720 rig swivel on the hair with 3inches of shrink tubing straight of the lead with the most expensive bag of boilies your local can supply you

:wink::wink:

prefer the 1080 myself 8)

what you need is a double bottom bait popped up exactly 2" on a semi fixed chod-bolt rig 8):wink:

If its any more or less than 2" you WON'T catch. Use a ruler just to be safe!

its got to have a 49mm hair also
