I managed to pick up a gardner deluxe boilie gun and rolling table for £3. never used either.

I've just got my hand son the atomic chod wyre, very good line and strong too. Not too wirey and can be worked with.

Only crack off i've had was when the swivel in the spomb snapped on me. No trouble with wind knots, bad frap or anything, I just splash my spool with water if im baiting up heavy or at long range.

Give it a try mate. Soak the braid first for a day as its when it's properly wet the dye lifts.

one thing I will warn you about is the dye running. I had my hands bright orange the first few uses, try to run the line through a towel the first few times! but a small price to pay for the lower priced, just as good braid

I managed to pick up one similar to this at a car boot sale the other weekend. £4 with all the nozzles and a 14mm rolling table. bargain. Making pop-ups will never be easier this winter

if its for when you are fishing on wooden platforms then stage stands? Pods I would look at the new solar P1 or the cygnet pods

going to drag up an old thread, whats the fishing like on here now? I'm up this way a fair bit with work for a while and wondered if it was worth me taking some rods and having a few hours in the evenings

The atomic one is like yonny says. It's good and I still use mine but the pouch is frayed and the Velcro part of the pouch ripped off, but then I prefer it without as I can get s tighter grouping.

Will defo be watching out for reviews on these. If they are that good then I'll give them a try. Especially in barbless

I dont mind being taken advantage of from time to time I'll be picking up a ticket next year so will have to see how the bait i'm on fairs in there

DJS is Deeping St James angling club Steve. Got a good stretch of the Nene up that way. I've not fished at all up Peterborough way. And only done one session on the Nene this year. 1 bream and a PB chub. Got a baby due TODAY so limited fishing. I plan to visit Peterborough at some point this summer to fish for the carp. I know an area where there is ALWAYS more than a few fish. Hard not to notice them on a blazing hot day. Some stonking bream there too.

try and make sure you have a puncture proof tyre. I once had to walk a mile with a barrow full of kit with a flat tyre. Luckily I carried a pump with me for such occasions. took me three re-inflations to get back to the van!

I used to have a browning carp feeder rod, was very nice to play fish on, not sure if they still do them though.

Have been using the HD this year. Very supple, a dream to cast and sinks well (even though I sit there cursing it as I switched from fluoro and its obviously slower than that). I'm using in 15lb and cant fault it. Spool it up properly (as gardner instructions) and it wont be coiled or twisted at all

I've never gone near them, mostly heard bad reviews on kranks. I'll stick to my fox arma, nash fang and rig morale hunchbax. never had any of them open up or snap on me. Been hooked in to a sunken tree and snapped a rod before the hook did!

The rubbing is something that does happen, a fish tethered somewhere on some branches will be rubbing the hooklink/line as it tries to free itself. Thus the hooklink with snap. Leadcore and leaders are designed to withstand serious abrasion. What you are doing with that rig is creating a 55lb breaking strain hooklink! I just think its totally unnecessary considering you can use so many other materials for the same thing, which have a lower BS and are less obtrusive and probably wont cost you bites from warier fish. It's very crude. Just my opinion but its an unacceptable rig to be fishing with for various reasons. If I saw anyone using that rig on a water I fish I'd be reporting it to the bailiffs. Again, same effect can be achieved with subtler and safer hooklink materials. They are readily available from thousands of suppliers. Get a very stiff coated braid and strip a tiny section back to get the 'flimsy' section and retain stiffness throughout. Line aligners and shrink tubing can create the kick if you want to use a combi-rig with a very stiff fluoro tied to a supple braid.

unless you are fishing abroad somewhere that has razor blades as a lakebed please DO NOT use this rig, its a death trap!! any fish trailing that will never get rid of it, it'll never snap off unless another fish came along with a pair of scissors. The effect you want can be achieved with plenty of materials on the market which are a lot safer. Personally the rig for my is a multi-rig. simple and effective. I would think any bailiff seeing you use that would boot you straight off their lake!

Its well worth a try there mate, dont seem to hard to find on a sunny day. I don't mate at all as I was offered it in person by one of the PDAA guys. Either contact them or the Nene Park Trust who own the land. They'll point you in the right direction
