  1. I had to get Nige to get some for me from his local mate. Couldn't find it anywhere else. Used it at churn, what I will say it's not the best for abrasion resistance but you can't have it all from a line. Cast brilliantly though that's for sure .
  2. No such thing as a hard lake these days Gary..apparently. Just another false pb mob
  3. Not far from you Gary & it is blowing a bit .... nothing better to get them moving about though . Be lucky
  4. The best chance on this lake is your first one , which nearly paid off with just missing out on that biggie couldn't believe it when I didn't see the line tighten. Once you have caught one the next one is very tricky I find.
  5. Managed a couple off the top though .... just missed out on one of the biggies , came up went for it but didn't take it. The owner had one on the fly rod too which was a nice fish . Rubbish photo God knows what happened there lol
  6. Had a short after work session yesterday floater fishing . Managed to cop a dog biscuit right in the forehead somehow from the catapult , proper stung for a second or two
  7. I know for some it's the first thing they do when arriving in a peg , sometimes it's because they like to use throwing sticks so drying them slightly is the best option. My bait doesn't like sticks far to soft .... just end up baiting the margin with half boilies
  8. Hutch I never air dry my baits, fresh bait kept in a cool style bag will easily last out long sessions 4-5 days . I have a preference for softer bait anyway .
  9. Probably around 50lbs of honey there Bob so 50 lb jars . Took a few more from another hive yesterday so it's been a better year than last year .
  10. If your looking for a proper water tight alarm then the ATTS are as good as it gets . Had waves crashing over mine on more than one occasion.
  11. Heard of these Gary? Was on the same line up as them the last time I was out gigging. They were good live .
  12. Fished the stretch a lot over the years . Will give you a call at some point .
  13. I've taken your number down fella.... can you bivvy up & night fish?
  14. I'm more than happy it's very strong mate & considering I'm always the one on here that picks up new products for a look at , after people recommended them on here & snap them between rig pullers & report back there pants , I can honestly say it's a very strong join
  15. There not something I would normally use myself, But after getting seriously nailed by crey fish last summer on the lake I'm fishing this coming week, just thought it would be one less knot they can damage & might just make the rig last longer.
  16. not stripped mate , can't imagine you can krimp uncoated braid .
  17. I know the Hybrid stiff coated braid in 20lb will take a krimp, not sure about softer versions though . But the small krimp on this stuff works a treat. Been making up some pop up rigs for my session next week . I test my rigs to destruction before they get cast anywhere & I'm more than happy it's up to the job .
  18. I know it's always been a thought as a pro for slack lines , less chance of any vibration passing down the line . As you only have to swim underwater yourself to know what sound travels like & sounds like underwater. But far to many fish get caught on drum tight lines for me to take any notice of that personally.
  19. Where does this stack up with anglers like Julian cundiff, who actively fish for line bites with rods up high to help locate the fish ? As soon as he gets a line bite on the rod a baited rig is put right next to it so he obviously doesn't think they spook off it .
  20. Had some good results using 4-5 ft of tiger line for my chod fishing a season or so back on some tricky waters. And you certainly didn't have to replace it after a couple of fish . It was out lasting the mono behind it . If I use chods again at some point it will be with a length of tiger line with out doubt.
  21. Fair play mate .... probably the best review I've read on here in all the years I am eagerly awaiting for yonnies hooks to hit the shelves
  22. Must be the day for Tench .... Nige is bagging up on them
