  1. I know a chap in Bedfordshire who is a member ! Quite a lot of game only waters and I seem to think he had to wait a while for full membership. Some stunning places and well worth a look. Cheers Ian
  2. Funny as my Aqua bivvy broke an elastic soon after I bought it ! When I phoned them they said they would keep my details and get in touch when the relevant person got back from holiday! Well 2 years on and I have given up on that one and the bivvy still works fine. Elastic would have been nice but customer service on something so expensive would have been ideal! Cheers Ian
  3. Waits patiently on the sidelines not expecting much from a company that has grown large ! Please forgive the cynicism but if they are aware of it they should have been all over it before we the great unwashed had even noticed, its their logo after all. Cheers Ian
  4. My initial thought is cock up but if they aren't that bothered then I will boycott till I see them jumping up and down and demanding the heads of the people who doctored the picture. Till then I aint buying there stuff and I hope others feel the same way? Is there any momentum for a boycott campaign from those that use facefarce? Cheers Ian
  5. Cyborx if you get a reply would you post it here please. I am fascinated to see what they say and if it`s not a fake I too will be boycotting their products. Cheers Ian
  6. Interesting idea Cyborx Wonder how many of the others up for it? Large van hire split between us may reduce costs as well and mean bait can be taken easily. Cheers Ian
  7. Fantastic bits of kit wouldn't be without it and can personally say the two biggest carp I have ever caught in the UK were because the pole got me into the exact spot with a little bit of free samples and rig with little or no disturbance ! Cheers Ian
  8. I bought the shimano one and cant fault it ! Cheers Ian
  9. Hee Hee couldn't resist !
  10. Thanks Yonny I didn't know the CTX was an import ! Every day is a learning day lol. Cheers Ian
  11. Vik R.e your fetish for shrink wrap I think with Free Spirit if you buy through someone like Johnson Ross you can have them made with whatever handles you like. I speak as someone who has a bit of a cork thing going on (but I am seeking help lol). Cheers Ian
  12. Hi Vik In all honesty the t.c doesn't appear to be as important as the action. As you know I use the Free Spirit X.S which is a 3.25 t.c but they have a very through action which makes them a delight to play fish on and suit quite a wide range of waters. I have tried some fast action 3 lb rods that felt like I could cast to the moon but would probably be more at home on a snooker table. Its a difficult thing to find what suits you best but the only thing I do know is don't by anything you haven't felt. Cheers Ian
  13. When I have to consider longer range than normal I go to Technium black in 12lb. Need to limber up a bit but it does the job. Incidentally on Terry's 13ft Aviators and my reels I managed a measured 150 yards not sure if I would want to fish with them but what tools for distance. Cheers Ian
  14. Hee Hee excuse the rain but what's not to like about these lol. You would be amazed at how many people rate these even some who are paid to promote other brands wink wink ) Cheers Ian
  15. I am with Yonny on this one which is why I ended up with the 3.25 t.c XS in 12ft. 4 years later and I still think I made the right choice fish of all sizes on them and since my day with Terry Edmondson I am comfortable up to 130 yards fishing and let's face it that's enough for most places. Give them a look. Cheers Ian
