    It’s the mats that do my swede in… blooming cumbersome unwieldy things. didn’t worry about it in the 80’s and early 90’s lol my latest try is a Aqua atom self inflating one… Probably got 20 mats of different t types and sizes in the shed

    Wind knot is a fallacy it’s actually a bad cast knot lol.😂 I get them when fly fishing but I’m not the best caster in the world. dont get many coarse fishing as I tend to keep lines as tight as possible and found when line goes slack is when you get them.

    Problem with cool bags is you need the ice blocks and they don’t stay frozen long enough to help any. possibly keep frozen for a couple of hours. better is to use a bottle of water from the freezer and then you can get about a day out of it.

    then I had optonics but the basic ones took me years to get a pair lol had to save all my money from “caddying “ at the local golf club as a kid. got cheesed off with them tipping to one side so went to bitech viper and that was even worse.

    Give me a straight stick and I can compete with anyone at most distances give me a curved stick and I can’t get a single bait in front of me lol.

    I’m Sure our club used to do a day trip here tench fishing every year on the punts (not sure if it’s here) I never went for some reason..
