  1. 20 is about manageable giving a favourable wind and a good size boilie
  2. Agreed use a multi if you want to use a similar rig
  3. The ridgemonkey one is total pants my mate bought one took it out once... absolute pants. better off getting the Harrison or the diem one that gets good reviews
  4. And probably smell the same as well lol cold and clean is the way I store them take the air out and you can get a good month out of them I use a vacuum pack machine to suck the air out
  5. Try tying them with the line you have left over from spooling up your reels then just go and buy a semi stiff coated braid as you can strip this off and have a completely bare braid hooklink then or just strip little bits off no need for any more to start of with unless you want chods or stiffies then buy a stiff fluro
  6. MOST rigs are an alteration of a basic braided knot less knot rig learn that and you can adapt it to make most of the rigs out there to using different materials hooks etc
  7. mark the line with a power gum stop knot or line varnish after hitting the clip first time around Then you can either go around distance sticks or walk the line out or even cast and wind back to the mark and re clip
  8. I have a rig on each rod thats quite organised for me
  9. Get something simple and reliable without a load of buttons that are not needed.Once they are set how you want them they never get changed anyway!! Nash S5R Fox Gardner TLB+ neville mk2 or 3 something you do not need a receiver for but is available if needed later on
  10. Just don’t sell the gear
  11. Personal preference I like a supple hair thats an old packet of muggas lol
  12. Didn’t see the stiff rig bit sorry..
  13. A curve usually stays in when fishing with barbless I have found
  14. Or you can use an in line lead
  15. I’ve never gone that far I just snug them down until it looks like it kind of clicks difficult to explain but you can see it if you look have you tried going twice through the eye? It helps spread the load better on the knot old fashioned way but it worked
  16. ESP but to be fair a needle is a needle imo
  17. How are you bedding it down? it only needs to be snug not pulled within an inch of its life
  18. Come in handy where there is L plate boaters... along with tips just back from the edge
  19. Replied before my edit hahah
  20. more cost to the rig lol are you going to do away with the putty as that will stop it rolling again
  21. You need to use a proper free rolling swivels that work under water, not sure how many actually do tbh i wouldn’t look too deeply into it if you have enough supple section it should spin and face the right way I actually have sucked some rigs up myself and they do work
  22. Guesting lake does that mean you shouldn’t be there either lol
  23. Lol there is a few cases (hahah) of it around
  24. Absolutely sure.. all 3 of mine are sticky It certainly doesn’t stop them working though so I’m not really bothered TBH there are a few cases of it around I have only changed the batteries once as well lol
  25. Only problem with the ATTS is on the early models the plastic goes sticky and you can’t get it off but you can buy new cases now for them I see I use ATTS for my 2 rod set up
