Or a ninja with a shot gun/rifle one of my club waters (4 lakes on the complex ) has a river in some places less than 10 foot away from the lakes. its gonna happen…. We have 2 gates on it and no fence… As made to take it down

Not sure how much this venue has changed but the access into and out of it is very tight so if you have a transit sized vehicle expect to work on the steering. also very easy to miss the turning into the lane. there was another access point in a housing estate but that was mainly for parking for the other lake. there are a few lakes in very close proximity to each other. good luck to those going. how much is a ticket now if you can get one.

You can use an alternative centrepin cast with a fixed spool reel pull line of the eyes and hold in one hand swing rod out let line go good for under trees

The other problem with taking too much gear is the length of time it takes to move if the fish show at the other end of the lake then you just can’t be bothered to move. theres a fine line between not taking enough and enough to cover everything. i also carried a bucket of spare bits in the van for that very reason. Mini weed rake, spomb, bank saw, gravel eater, even the gardener multi rake silly bits that could stuff you up if you didn’t have them

With bread you throw it into an area that you can see them in, its not a bait and wait tactic. its a bait and hold on tactic lol I always used to use mother’s pride but not seen that in years so changed to warburtons. luncheon meat was always happy shopper lol as it used to have more fat in it. could always catch crucians on a size 6 hook and 10lb line using happy shopper..

Also a cheap round keep net cut it to suit… or go to a greengrocers and ask if you can have some onion sacks or pop up laundry basket loads of things if I think about it

Single skins used to be notorious for condensation if you can get a skull cap or skin for it that will make a difference as the skeleton of the frame work will create an air gap to help. ( apparently, putting the unhooking mat on top can also help) most other umbrella type shelters with the spokes on the inside can’t create the air gap so the skull cap/ skin is pointless. a waterproof sleeping bag cover will help to stop the bag getting wet.

What shelter you using does it have a twin skin or skull cap on it? apparently it was quite misty last night I also heard the wife scraping her car windscreen this morning so it must have been cold lol
