  1. I have all the above powders but I use them if I’m rolling baits. 👍 I don’t think you can say the molasses caught that fish unless the bait you had on the hook contained it. now, whether the molasses being in the vicinity helped or not that is another question.. again it all boils down to confidence in what you are doing. and you, now, seem to have plenty of confidence so keep on doing it your way
  2. Me, I like the aniseed and don’t see any need to alter it. again, it’s just confidence. possibly, maybe, it’s because my all time favourite boilie flavour is bun spice from SBS from the 90’s. I like the “spicy” elements in my mixes rather than sweet.
  3. Could ask carlo at inflatable boat fishing.com if he hires hes based in Sussex I think
  4. It would probably work out about the same to hire as to buy. admittedly, you would get a deposit back if it was ok at the end of your trip. Pirates cave ( Rochester) do an inflatable 2.3m for 340£ You could use it and flog it on when you get back
  5. I used to add them to groats. even naked groats adds a nice subtle milk into the water
  6. Like I said don’t neglect the store cupboard lol Would only need a teaspoon or 2 5l would last a lifetime If you are not using the aniseed version then yes no problems adding something to it of course. ( try butyric acid… ) At the end of the day you are happy using it then that is all that matters 👍
  7. If it’s the aniseed version I can’t see the point in adding molasses to it personally if it is plain then Yes but each to their own you could also just mix some marmite with hot water and get that yeasty effect never neglect the cupboards at home for alternative liquids or powders
  8. I thought the tackle box did but hazy recollections now think it’s bait boats they hire. where you based and what do you actually want to hire life jackets gps fish finders engines batteries etc
  9. Salt can cause issues with hemp splitting I have kept it with and without water
  10. Freeze it for future use 👍💪
  11. Just keep it simple in a bag.
  12. Only need a bit of groundbait in your munga mix or scald the pellet you are already using and sling one out …
  13. Could be a number of things estate lake silt feeders have softer mouths thats gravel pit carp using a hook is going to cause mouth damage of some description only way to stop it 100% is to stop fishing. are you using the hook swivel the correct way around so the open crook on the swivel is at the back? that makes a difference
  14. Method feeders are usually tied with around a 3” hook length.. they work
  15. Has it been bent in anyway and needs moving closer to the burner?
  16. Wonder how quick they will go out of fashion lol
  17. The key to it is start in the summer fish when the kids want to fish chase butterflies if they want to do that go home when they have had enough. then eeek out 10 minutes more every time they go.
  18. And possibly sweated a little more also

    August Catch Reports

That’s as deep as it is long … well done all who have been catching
  20. Problem with carp fishing nowadays lol On club waters no one knows who’s fishing where unless you are in the clique and let’s be honest most of the time you have to slot in added to that all the superstars say find the fish first and unfortunately, if they are showing in the swim you have prepped it’s going to get fished.
