  3. Personally,I would never say start carp fishing as a first fishing experiance but welcome if you can buy some 2nd hand tackle first it would be cheaper if you decide it isn’t actually for you and you will get better for your money so will technically lose less. carls you tube channel is very good for beginners https://youtube.com/@fishwithcarl?si=4pGcRiv9BpibUZjG
  4. Are you an angler already or are you just starting out this will dictate the answers given
  5. What nick means is open Google earth and find pictures of the lake. you can get various pictures for different weather conditions if you look enough and it might show you the bars gulleys etc. the. You can use the measuring tool and work out how far these are and then cast to them.

    Krimp iQ2

Diameter of 20lb iq2 is 0.47 diameter of 14lb is 0.4 xs crimps are 0.5 so either would work but I would go 20
  20. Can’t give you a bank side bodge but my boat cover had 4 holes it it and I used tear aid fix kit from millets to repair it as a temporary fix until I buy a new cover these patches are always under water when it rains and until I go down to the boat for any reason and then I throw the water off the other thing that may work is tenacious tape

  22. these have no mention of no dogs on the fishery farlows thorpe Lea henlow bridge lakes fairlands stanborough rib valley
  23. Sonar doesn’t tell you if anything has eaten the bait which I think the way I read it is what the op wants to find out. i would have thought the Waterwolf or the fish spy would have been the better option. i think the other problem is they only work properly in clearer water.
  24. Anker do seem to lead the way .
