  1. I think korda have done those too I saw a one more cast multi tool that looked pretty smart though
  2. Yep, I got fed up looking at prestige stuff in the end, i wanted a mk2 for ages as I had one years ago, but they never seemed to be in stock anywhere and when they did get stock they had bumped up the prices quite a lot, In the end with prices and everything factored in the Mk2 with luggage and bits it was the worst deal out of the 3 I had shortlisted, I went for the trakker and don't regret it yet
  3. You can also get diawa ext ones, only from total fishing tackle though as they are exclusive to them deal, and the other ones seem to be more expensive, I love my 12 footers light, slim, minima guides very nice budget rods worth a look anyway https://www.total-fishing-tackle.com/daiwa-crosscast-ext-tt-rod
  4. To be fair when I was looking at prestige barrows a while ago, they had already increased the prices quite a lot, and they never seemed to be in stock in a lot of shops, can't do any harm I don't think
  5. Excellent read, and well done catching that many in a session, have you thought about trying a blatent pop up rig that may help you get through to the bigger ones and maybe slow down the bites a bit
  6. Baitworks mentioned the huge increase in raw material cost on their podcast last month so it must be all around, I've been looking for some deals for my holiday but they don't seem to be there at the moment so I think it will be affecting them all and I guess you have to wonder if some companies will be forced to leave Ingredients out or at lower levels to combat this? I blame Bozo for everything 👍
  7. They've just added the cost of getting brexit done,
  8. I've just seen a video for the wolf grippas, they look smart and simple, I use the esp ones at the minute, I've never lost a rod yet using them
  9. Thanks one of my daughters got covid too so at least I could give her a cuddle again, same to you and all else
  10. I've seen another rig similar to one you speak of lately 🤔 Someone called it the lamp post rig I think? I also meant to have a play with that but haven't and now can't find it
  11. In my head I have been thinking about a withy pool type bend in the shrink tube for the pop up 💡
  12. I've been thinking of making a variation on the multi rig for a while now, i wanted a stiff coated section hook end and after the knot supple and uncoated, I was planning to use shrink tube but due to being out in the garage couldn't be bothered to set up the stove so I tried a noodle kicker, I think for a bottom bait, wafter rig this will be quite good, i would use shrink tube for pop ups though looks OK I think, hook is a chod hammer, kickers are terminal tackle.uk (much better than the thinking anglers ones imo)
  13. Meh still a bit rubbish but isolating in the garage for now tidying my tackle box up 😂
  14. The braid is perfectly usable didn't like the green colour though looked bright against the bottom, I found the uncoated braid could fray a bit, Hooks are OK, I don't use them now but I probably would, for a chod hook have a look at the esp chod hammer they are a nice pattern and pretty sharp too
  15. Gardner do some quite nice tungsten ones, that have got a concave end so they fly back up the line, If non flying I just use the normal ones as light as I can, just to help get the line out the way, but I only use them if I think my lines might need extra concealment and I'm fishing fairly slack close in
  16. We have a local version of that, they just get stories off Facebook and make things up all the time, local equivalent of the daily mail basically
  17. Totally agree, Brown sensor is OK I've used that before it was just the clear one I didn't like I did like korda carp line for the brief time I used it, but needed to change it for hydrotuff Gardner is best though 😏
  18. I seem to recall it was very visible in the water, and I didn't really like it, depends what you want from a line really, if you want abrasion resistance and good sinking line hydrotuff, I haven't respooled yet but have got a spool of gt80+ to try as apparently it's better than hydrotuff 😬 I wouldn't use anything other than Gardner now as it just never let's me down, reliable and strong and it lasts pretty well too
  19. I didn't like clear sensor, Stick to Gardner lines they just do what they are meant to
  20. She Caught a few little roach this evening I spent a lot of time dealing with tangles, when you've been carping for years you forget how weak a 2lb bottom is 😁 also really fiddly innit, getting her a whip next she was doing OK at casting but I think the whip is the way for now, also I wont bother taking a chair I didn't get to sit down once 😂
  21. The kidda has already got an okuma set up, an orange vibe rod, my other daughter has a pink one (which I may borrow today) 😂
  22. Good luck bb, nice set up I'm taking the youngest one tiddler bashing tonight, can't wait
  23. Just be honest, I don't think they expect everyone to be Darrell peck, play to your strengths, say things like you don't mind helping out doing some work, always keep tidy, hate litter, keep yourself to yourself and that that you are easy to get on with, don't mention you support West ham though he would would lol you off the place 😂
