  1. Hey guys Was looking into chod storage today saw the fox steam and store, but thought wow that's expensive 15 quid so 5 minutes in the garage of dreams and here it is I present to you the world exclusive Elmo DIY CHOD BIN Yep that ls right I've sawn into the middle bit of an old funnel Web tube I had kicking about, I actually think the boilie sized one would be perfect for this as it would put a better curve on the rig when steaming it, but you are free to change the design as you wish and maybe even take more care when using the saw

I took my my little one for a little mooch around and a picnic today, she loved the massive puddles best, we also went to the fishing shop she now owns an eel shad, pulted some bait around an area rather than just the spots in the hope it gets them going and looking for it, waterlevels seemed up a bit so hopefully that will do some good, just got to try and get a night to angle now🙄

No offence taken, don't get me wrong when I first got back I realised how rusty I was but it's all been coming back week on week, when I say I've caught nothing 3 bream and 2 tench I still think there are things I can do a lot better, I think I've only used 1 bait I can say is a proper bait the rest I made and that was my mini spring campaign elsewhere, where I did days only and looking back fished like a noddy, It's an interesting one, are there fish coming out the answer not to my knowledge, but there may have been in my absence tbh, there aren't many people fishing it a couple of guys for the tench but not many others so I would've thought that my regular prebaiting wouldn't have gone unnoticed by the carp, I've spent quite a while just looking and walking tbh I've cleared some spots from weed etc, but it is a different lake to anything I've fished before and even though its shallow they can be a [censored] to find as there are tonnes of reeds and places to hide, it's just a case of working my way right round the lake and building a bigger picture of it now and trying to suss the fish out a little more and finding some places they will feed confidently I will have earnt it by the time I catch one I know that, but will keep trying

I know probably not long enough and I know I shouldn't keep switching but I felt I needed to change something, I kept thinking about all the newer baits around and would they be better and would this mean I struggled against them, so I just wanted to try one to see if things improved, I'll be honest I think it's been tough not catching a carp since I returned to fishing, I am fishing a tough lake but I don't think I'm angling too badly on the whole, but I guess the lack of captures does funny things to your confidence and this may be a by product of that, I will keep trying until I gain the Confidencw I used to have

I did hear a little about but I wasn't fishing when that happened, but that was there own bait so I doubt they wanted to cut that, I couldn't have used them knowing they were ripping people off though so on to pastures new,

The bait and Feed company particle42 , it seemed so different at the time and it just seemed to catch fish, I prebaited an overflow pipe in one lake for a couple of weeks in the end they were waiting for me to arrive they liked it that much, first day I fished there 5 carp to 26lb, and it just carried on working,

I am still trying to find the bait I have total confidence in though, I thought back and actually I've only ever had one bait I knew would catch and that's sadly no longer with us, one of the things I wanted was to not just have round bait so I've got some barrels too for something different, and actually I went for this one because I liked the sound of it and it does seem to catch fish, and looking at there site they give you a lot of details and seem to have a lot of knowledge

I toyed with the idea of trying VNF this week but ended up going for dna secret 7 got to sneak 20k into the bait freezer when it arrives tomorrow shhhhhhh 😬😬😬 it seemed too much of a good deal to turn down
  9. Isn't the only usual rule the higher the number the bigger the reel 🤔 I would go to a shop and pick one you feel most comfortable with
  10. Just used the countersink have to say it does look quite lovely, As John Wilson used to say "I would eat that if I was a carp"
  11. Don't people mainly use wafters nowadays anyway for a balanced hookbait ? 🤔
  12. I do think that Nash create products that aren't already in the market place and develop ideas that will improve someone's angling, not everything will but at least they try to bring fresh ideas, Greekskii I know people have been making untidy rigs and catching for years but for me a neat snowman would be a good thing, might make a 0.5% edge but add all those little extras up and it gives you confidence, I reckon I've got a countersink in the garage will try and make a nice snowman rig with it today, but without seeing this Nash tool I probably wouldn't have thought about it, so they have bought a product that may help someone's angling
  13. And get the haiths app loads of good recipes on there
  14. If you ever want a fishmeal the patshull Park mix is quite user friendly, but very helpful if you speak to them, I made a couple of mistakes when rolling my own I used to put too many additives in then it would roll like a pig, keep it simple to start with
  15. Is it just me that can see a perfectly presented snowman that really looks neat, while I probably wouldn't buy the Nash tool for it, I can see the logic in using a countersink 🤔 I never really look at aqua products way to pricey for me, and I agree look for bargains and you will find them, but if someone is happy to pay for things then that is up to them really, I just like to think I am thrifty or something
  16. This sounds like a good idea, I've been looking at the avid outline leader spools would that work well over weed and chod ok, As a sort of chod leader?
  17. Thanks for the reply greekskii, I think the switch sounds like an odd bait if I am honest, sounds like a hippy bodybuilders clean eating type of bait with pea protien etc I tried pea protien once when I was into fitness and it was horrible, S7 on the other hand does sound like a nice bait and I think you are right it does seem to be slk or S7 that are the main 2 that catch from what I can see,
  18. Has anyone tried DNA baits before? I like the look of there post free deals and premier baits have just put the prices up on matrix so I am having a rethink,in the back of my mind I know the matrix would work OK but it's been out years and years and I've not built up loads of confidence in it yet, I quite fancy trying one of these newer baits on the market and the S7 sounds good, I quite like the range of hookbaits available as well, and the fact you can get dumbells, I just think DNA have some fresh looking ideas, has anyone tried them, ?
  19. Bank tackle putty is good £4.79
  20. Apparently eating garlic helps, I keep getting savaved though I might try some jungle formula or something Do citronella candles do anything I got one of those somewhere
  21. I've been inspired thanks harpz31 B ream Spomb the Base The rolling stonz The grateful deadbait
  22. Bank tackle braid is good it came this morning, I've just tied up 6 multi rigs with it and there continental hooks, looks a rig that will work a treat
  23. Maybe that is answer, they may be suspicious more of boilies, as they more often than not they are a hookbait and they feed happily on the particles knowing they are safer And especially with hemp as people don't tend to use it as a hookbait at all really
  24. I wouldn't feed boilies the way people feed maggots though, people seem to think they all dive into the silt or wriggle away to safety as soon as they hit the bottom, which they don't they drown, so they spomb out tonnes which leads to them getting preoccupied on them, and also finding an easy meal as there is an abundance of maggots on the bottom, Personally I always like to have different items available different sizes, shapes, colours, textures and flavours etc so they don't get used to feeding on one sized thing, even if I just fished boilies I would still use 2 sizes and chops and some crushed ones
  25. Perhaps this would be a good approach coming into winter though, thinking about it, they would certainly eat more than boilies, angler pressure is down could be a good cost effective winter baiting method
