If it was my private canal , and unless somebody clocks you baiting up it will possible remain so , i would be tempted to start with the above and then change the Boilie content from chops to halves and then whole Boilies over a period of time . Problem i find with Canals is knowing whether the bait is being eaten , maybe somebody else has had a similar problem ? I like the look of that far margin

I wouldnt fish a pop up inside a solid bag but thats just me Dan , i know other people do and have success with it but i have only ever fished a bottom bait or wafter in a bag amongst crumb and pellet . I dont like the thought of it sticking up and looking out of place . On the other hand , some may say the pop up will get taken first for the same reason . I only adhere to the idea of a pop up amongst a spread of bottom baits ( especially A Choddie ) as it seems less obvious somehow. Mind you im weird .

So what if theres no Carp , i bet you catch a Specimen of some sort .

They were quite popular in the live clubs down here just after the punk thing and i spose the first album was ok if you liked that sort of thing . Those covers they destroyed later on was where they made their money and lost their street cred . Made a mockery of their name imo . Not really my cuppa tea but can understand why they were so popular .
