    Aviary .

My sons mother just likes birds . Theres 6 Chucks & 1 Bantam ( the other one died ) , so lots of eggs for Boilies lol , a home made Aviary which has pairs of Canaries , Diamond Doves , Java Sparrows , and Quail both Jap and Chinese . The quail eggs are nice but you need a lot of them for a decent Scrambled eggs on toast At the moment she is hatching the eggs with 3 incubators at various stages of development , new batches hatching weekly . Thats without the damned Rabbits , including a young un that i've had to hand feed because the mother trampled on , and killed his 7 siblings blessim his names Tarquin fin tim lim bim bim bus stop f'tangf'tang ole biscuit barrel :)

    Aviary .

Yep but you would have to take all 26 of em Phil with more hatching in the incubator as i speak. And you know how pricey they are in restaurants

    Aviary .

Anyone keep birds ? I have some quail chicks mostly Chinese , the odd Japanese , that are going to need homes shortly . They are really good at cleaning the floor of the aviary , tidying up seeds etc dropped by other birds and the eggs are quite tasty/useful too. If anyone is interested PM me , also if anyone would like to swap for some of your birds or finches gis a shout Soon as i've switched over to tapatalk i'll stick a couple of pics up
  5. Buzz mate , thst woman is famous in LONDON
  6. Sorry Pete , not my part of the world so i cant give you an update but does Richard still own it ? :) :)
  7. Yes quite correct mate . He's always had that 'regulars' only rule but he's not that strict with it . My young nephew has fished it 3 times since it re-opened in March no questions asked and Jimmyboy , as i say , is booked on in August and he's never even been there before
  8. I turned it in cos there were getting to be too many nobs fishing over there , especially at weekends . Mind you that was before he widened the lake so things hopefully improved after . Had some nice Grassies out of the Car Park lake over the years. I know Jimmyboy is booked on there in august so good luck Jim
  9. Twas 2011 when i was there and it was like Noddys day out . If Gaz sees this he'll comment but he doesnt get on much nowadays
  10. http://www.a12lakes.co.uk Seems like i was wrong Dan , mind you it must be 6 years since i fished there . Maybe there was the one Speci lake which has been split into two ? Either way there was a nice lake at Hatfield Peveral which i er, visited , a few times shall we say which was much nicer . And quieter
  11. When i fished it there were 2 specimen lakes but i hear that they have been knocked into one lake since then Dan
  12. Not easy at all , people i know who have fished there have questioned whether there are any fish in there Oh and dont forget your ear muffs
  13. Hello mate , i fished it once , on holiday , many moons ago but i've never read or heard anything good about the place . Have you had a look through some old threads ?
  14. If you need to know anything just shout mate
  15. Is that the old CEMAX water that stands beside the Chelmer mike ?
  16. Neal , im not familiar with blassford hill mate but if you want continuous action then Dawnsvale will keep you on your toes , theres a little stretch of the river Pant , i think , which runs alongside it which is interesting looking . I caught my first Carp off the surface at DV , when the sun shines they just cruise about in droves. Caught it on a fake doggie biscuit 6 inches from the Bank
  17. Mikey , the other thing i can suggest is to join Billericay Angling club . Peanuts to join , lots of runs water and night fishing allowed on most of them , the lake at Southminster is very good , that i CAN tell you . http://www.bdac.co.uk/venues/venues.html Good luck with your search . I really hope you take me up on the Braintree lake , you wont be disappointed
  18. Evening Mikey , i've fished in Essex all my life and i have fished many of the day ticket waters over the years . I'm based more in the south west side of Essex bordering on east london and therefore not over familiar with your part of the county . The problem you have , and it is a problem is that you want the young lad to catch so need a venue that will pretty much guarantee it and that is easier said than done . Theres not a lot of point in me recommending the 2 venues that i fish most of all because although they are not rock hard they are not runs waters either and since they are not my cup of tea i'm not familiar with many of them . What i can recommend is a little lake in Braintree Its the most beautiful place you've ever seen , totally secluded , you'll probably be the only ones there , especially if you book it midweek , the Carp go to 30lb+ (which are far from easy to catch) but there are many many doubles etc which are fairly easy to catch . I've recommended it to a few people on here over the years but , to my knowledge , nobody has took the bull by the horns and actually been , and they really have missed a treat . The owner is an absolute diamond too . http://m.dawnsvale.co.uk/site/mobile?dm_path=%2Findex.htm&fw_sig_session_key=e323c0e777c62836acd4efe1993fd1339df41a0208f60ce9726524bae5631bb3-32282648&fw_sig_premium=1&fw_sig_url=http://www.dawnsvale.co.uk/&fw_sig_api_key=522b0eedffc137c934fc7268582d53a1&fw_sig_permissions=none&fw_sig_access_token=39b5e8f401e16e80960444e5c188dd615eef8c49&fw_sig_locale=en-US&fw_sig_tier=0&fw_sig_social=1&fw_sig_is_admin=0&fw_sig=ea10879d5daa8b3a35925131d0699b00&fw_sig_partner=webs&fw_sig_permission_level=0&fw_sig_site=32282648&fw_sig_time=1434310722569&fb_sig_network=fw#1221
  19. @When i saw this i thought 'what the hell is that ?' So i had a little look thinking it might be revolutionary Uncle Danny disappointed me again Simple kk rig for me with various materials and components depending on conditions . I find the most important and crucial factors have always been length . Both rig and hair . I like to be flexible so no bells & whistles for me Bait application is a more telling factor
