  1. My dad is around the 20 stone mark and has mobility issues and he has always gone for the Nash Daddly Long legs chair. They are reallly comfortable and he has never had an issue with them. They are really easy to get in and out of too.
  2. They range from £21 per stick to £25 depending on length. I like the carbon touch on them but they do look far too chunky and not too my taste.
  3. I would get them soon as the Tacklebox website says they have been discontinued so only have selected sizes left.
  4. Yes you can use it running on the mainline. Providing your using a semi stiff or stiff boom section and balanced correct you shouldn't encounter any tangles.
  5. When you tie the knotless knot come back down the barrel of the knot a few times before putting the tag back through the eye of the hook. This helps to stop the material from contracting during the fight and snapping and should hopefully solve your problem. Also 12lb in a fluorocarbon isn't very strong and as its invisible anyway I would look at a higher/thicker breaking strain.
  6. I found if you want to use a hook with an in-turned eye like a wide gape with fluorocarbon then tie the rig up and store it under tension on a rig board. When you come to use it it keeps the gape of the hook open rather than closing it up.
  7. And a chod version of the Krank too.

    qm1 hooks

Thank you very much Neal. Unfortunately i do not work in a hook factor nor am I in the trade. That would be good if you get your hands on some choddy kranks as these are not in shops yet nor are the barbless standard kranks.

Very good guys made me actually lol. Just as a quick comparison between the owner and the korda krank. The korda one has a finer wire gauge but as a result is sharper out of the packet than owner ct-3. The owner feels much stronger and side by side makes the korda one look weak.

Nealjt that is just marketing spiel. I wouldn't read too much in to who designed what. The Owner ct-3 hook is a very similar pattern to the normal Krank hook. The chod version is the same just with an out turned eye, this is the version that is a beefed up QM1.

Korda are just about to release the carp version of this. The Krank Choddy hook is pretty much the same thing just stepped up to cope with large carp.
  12. It's an interesting topic. I know people who have been doing this on blow-back ring rigs so that the ring springs back in case ejected and resets itself for a couple of years. You haven't "invented" like you say but well done for thinking.
  13. You can use mono/fluoro with a curve shank but to stop it from closing up the gape of the hook you need to store it on a rig board under tension then it will be fine
  14. There is nothing wrong with a standard longshank hook. It's the longshank curved hooks that do the damage. If your new to carping you don't really want to be starting off using rigs like that. Keep the rig simple and concentrate on where you put it
  15. It's as simple as trying your chosen hooklink to the eye of the hook and tying your bait onto the ring. I would use a supple braid as a preference
  16. Use either riverge or seaguar fluorocarbon, its the best in the world and nothing touches it
  17. I have done it with the yellow handle solar needles but I find the korda splicing needle (orange handle) the best of it. Take your time and it can be easy
  18. If your fairly new you don't really need to worry about the helicopter set up. Why is it that you want to know more about this particular lead arrangement?
  19. Ali's book is more of a how-to style book rather than a read it through. I would recommend Darrell Pecks book, its a great read and isn't an advert
  20. Like everything it's down to personal preference and what works for you. I like it so that the braid section is only 2-3mm long. This means that the hook literally just hangs from the stiffer section
  21. Elphicks is just a clay man made hole in the ground. You don't need no chod rigs, just fish on the deck. They are partial to a zig as well.
  22. Plantation is a really nice lake. It's quite small but they don't allow overcrowding on it. Small baits tend to work well on their
  23. Aaron what lake are you thinking of fishing?
  24. I've not fished it myself but whilst in my local tackle shop he was telling me its been fishing really well and chucking out some of the lumps in there
  25. If you read the original post the guy doesn't want to lose the lead every time
