  1. That would be the best option but you need to hold a special ticket to do nights on there. Its a day only water unless you are one of the lucky ones. (And there is a huge waiting list to get the night ticket)
  2. Nick you could easily be a famous angler and i would love to read articles by you. They would be of quality and honesty, not something you get much of these days.
  3. If its orchard farm place then it is just outside paddock wood. Haven't got a contact number though sorry. Give medway tackle a call they will have some info.
  4. Interesting first post, do you have a pic of this rig. Would be very interesting to see it.

If you have a search for the 360 rig, you will find everyone's opinion on there.
  6. My local tackle shop said only use crimps with fluoro
  7. What knot did you use in the end? That looks pretty neat and i'm always struggling to join to materials like that.
  8. i wouldn't use it with a shocka rig or any rig where the lead is running. it sort of takes away the whole idea of using trigga link, and doesn't get the best out of the material.
  9. That maybe the case but the carps eyesight gets worse in winter, so they kind of balance things out. No need to scale down. Staying with 6s and 8s.
  10. suffix camo skin and the grey hydrolink hooklink. high recomend the later of the two and its a bit different to the norm.
  11. there not the stiffest but the suffix range is great, has lots of colours and they have brought the silt one out in a stiff version. they cover lots of different lakebeds
  12. quality material, different to what is on the market aswell. the reverse of what everyone else makes. i too think it is great. i use it in a different colour to courtz though but the idea and material is great.
  13. suffix camo skin will blend in lovely on that sort of lake, worth a try mate.
  14. there's no rule how much to strip, but i like it so the hair, the complete knotless knot, and about 10mm from the hook eye is all stripped.
  15. i too am looking for something similar. i hate the way normal hooklink braids fray when using them. if you come across one that is like the inside of coated braids let us know.
  16. loop to loop is fine, make the loop in the mainline using a figure of 8 loop knot.
  17. Yea i know, i was just explaining the theory to him. Of course if the swivel gets clogged it wont come off.
  18. A back to back grinner works nicely with trigga mate for joining the two together.
  19. no mate in the event of break off the hooklink will slide off the leadcore/leader/tubing. The lead will be attached depending on your leader type set up. with tubing it can be tied to the mainline. with leadcore it can be attached by a quick link that is spliced to the end (same will apply to a leader) The sleeve just neatens the whole set-up and stops the hook catching on the quick link.
  20. kryston's quicksilver is very abraisive resistant, i think it comes in 35 and 45lb breaking strains. excellent for cats anyway.
  21. carpcatcher is right i dont think there are any stiffer, but korda are in the process of making an even stiffer hooklink than the current hybrid but that is not available in shops yet. check out suffix's new stiff black hooklink, i have done well on the more supple version, the new one is just stiffer mate.
  22. Agree totally. the knot has to be steamed as you are pulling it tight, this makes it neater and stronger, again don't know why it just does.
  23. agree with neil, the e.s.p clips are great for getting rid of the lead. i always wet the clip and test it befor putting it out and it comes off with ease. sometimes if using pva bags i tie some pva string/tape to stop the lead from coming off on the cast. thats how easy they do come off. They get a thumbs up from me.
