  1. the lakes just of the M1 are horbury and wakefield lagoons controlled by wakefield angling there was some story going about that a night angler got beat up and mugged but heard another story that i wont repeat. i was on club book, its a hard water and i left because they banned night fishing and everyone pulled of, but not sure if night fishing is back again
  2. st johns is a very heavy pressured water the fish have seen nearly all the tricks, but i would try 2 grains of boyant fake corn popped up and spod/catty some real corn over it, little and often, the water is gin clear and the bottom is very rough from the gravel, i made the mistake of fishing far side of a big gravel bar, that cost me a BIG fish as the gravel bar wore through my mainline (sensor at time) if when you get there have a good look at manor farm as less people fish on manor and its closer to the bogs/shower car park good luck, i was plagued by bad luck on there
  3. Hi all, me and my mate have booked a week on emmotland lake 2 1st week in july, i know it can be a hard water so i would be grateful for any imformation , like baits and tactics that work on this lake. Thanks in advance
  4. hi all, thinking i might try river carping next summer need to swat up on it ! like the rivers around stamford/peterborough area they look carpy! i would be grateful for info on where to fish...can i bivvy up and are there any free stretches! thanks in advance
  5. looking at the catch reports i would say they are back on top form, a credit to the way its run
  6. Any particular baits on linear? looking at the catch reports they seem to take anything and everything
  7. We are planning to fish brasenose 1 when we get there on the weekend, then move onto st johns for the rest of the week though that might change cause i think it will be major busy that week (july 23) i once tried google earth but the old pc tends to freeze up on it!!

  9. if fish move through an act of nature i think they have to stay where they end up, i beleive benson ended up in bluebell through flooding, might be wrong though!!!

  13. you should be ok if you put the lead in the pva then nick the hook onto the bag
