Got the HD in 18 lb I did want the hydrotuff in a lower break but you takes what they have, 0.39 so I should be OK for straight through nice line it's what I have on my reels from last year that was a lower break though.

Just bought a pack of three by thinking angler had to look at the tips as one pack was already carrying a broken one look a bit thin but I only need them to tie a few very short leadcore leaders 8 to 12 Ince for a inline set up just enough so the mainline is not kicking up at the lead.

The mixer could do with being larger it won't do a kilo without some stopping and starting to rearrange the mix, putting the liquid in first and half a kilo of mix on top of the liquid works best switch on and it mixes in no time. Glad I went with the kitchen aid really does handle a very stiff mix I would still go with the buffalo as it is bigger only the sale ended before I could get one, plus the Mrs got me this on here store card from currys... and not one cake has been made lol. She is a good angler herself just doesn't have any interest in carp fishing other than seriose mickey taking, you should hear it when the korda lads are on the telly, she naned the dog after freddie mercury.

Those electric caulking guns are the swizz so much effort saved you can do a kilo in two loads flys through it.

The latest batch of the SRNs these have as much haiths clo, Nectar blend and prosco as you could get in a bait they should break down a lot faster than the other baits of the same ingredients I have rolled they have no semolina flour just 100 grams of soy.

Work van near me got done during the day on a job site cut the door open and had the electric socket wrench scaffolders use a fair few of them out the van.

Good set of weelies so you can go knee Deep in the edge figure out where they run to and hold tight until they turn for open water then give a little slack to let them release the pressure holding them, your hooks need to be up to yonny standards most fish are lost due to blowing the hook mid run I have had that happen a few times.
-
You need to get down south a bit Norton Disney looks good for the once or twice a year run. I'm risking bluebells in a few weeks mid week of course once I finally get my poop sorted would be rude not to now I have a full size carp wagon.

Air Drying/Rehydrating The Alternative View
Carpbell3 replied to hutch's topic in UK Bait and Bait Making
Keep them frozen myself, the best bait I have used is the Ecton Berry I literally picked it up the day it was cooked no freezing and no drying tore the lake up gave me my largest mirror and a few others. JB swears by it fresh out the pan cooled and used obv its tricky to do so I have a nice little stockpile in the freezer. I do glug before use most times even if it is just salmon oil. Will be using butter nut cell from aabaits. -
Nice to others out catching thought next weekend was going to be the one but no, just got back from the dentist getting a full upper denture always seem to get a new one at the start of fishing, anyhow, got the finale appointment next Friday afternoon having four teeth plucked on that day so I doubt that weekend will be the one. On a plus note got my weight back up to 9 stone and have been doing lots of stamina building exercises well toned.

Pop ups and bottom baits do some wafers next pleased with those the colour is just right a very washed out orange that is almost yellow .
-
Getting ahead of myself again she got the all clear from endoscopy which is awesome but her surgeon wants to do more surgery the tumor they took out is stage 1 so they want to remove her lynth node glands... hope the carp gods know what they are doing as the NHS is a tad ropey.

Looks good I tried gram flour but even in small amounts it has a real strong flavour so I use a soy flour now for the base mix, I'm only using 100 grams of that the rest of the binding ingredients are clo and Nectar blend type mixes.

Just got some ho9k ba8ts made. Got bottom baits which are JB supermilk hook bait mix with the added haiths attraction package. The pop ups look a bit special it's the AABaits CPS fishmeal pop up mix which is white so I blended a small amount of fluro orange pop up mix and the haiths Robin Orange and krill got a real nice liquid package in them plum and TM1 the butternut cell and a drop of talin they smell like fresh strawberry jam that drop of talin makes a big difference, once they are dry I will glug half of each in the DMPT liquid that will take a light plum flavour with a dusting of the toffee powder.
-
Mrs got the all clear from the ca,eradocs just got to see her main consultant next week see if she needs after treatment. Forgot it was holiday weekend so I'm at home doing the garden.
-
Looks good seen it used on a in-line lead set up for bottom baits, works well.
-
Looks good have always thought that dried saltfish would work ground up dry.

I'm well running late I'm trying for next weekend few issues to resolve depending. Got my freezer well packed and the motor is a carp chariot thinking about putting a set of 20 inch wides on her get some extra lift the bolt pattern is fairly standard so plenty to chose from. She has a few hospital visits this week so I'm thinking Friday to Sunday at Ecton still early to be fair for river feed lakes but they are up and about the frogs will be spawning plus my plum tree is covered in blossom its deffo that time. Mysterious ways, I prefer the sedona it was only ment to be a stop gap looks like a massive scooby with the air intake.

Cyprinus K2 brolly system or??
Carpbell3 replied to Jguy91's topic in Carp Fishing Tackle and Equipment
They got a bit iffy anyhow fair few complaints about the lower end stuff plus all the import prices and regs have changed see the French are being there usual helpful selves, wouldn't fancy being on a coach with just a portable pot for all to use the poor dude sitting nearest. -
Nice I do like the Jeep one of those cars that will last years. Anyone looking for a cheap carp wagon these sedonas are just right don't be put off by the 2.9 engine the diesel gets a good return nice smooth drive the gear shift is a bit agricultural nothing a van driver would worry about. Plus it's the hyundi crdi engine the older ones are a timing chain plenty of low mileage sedonas about.
