If it helps i don't think I've got it that right lol. I managed to foul hook a mid 20 mirror last night sadly (got it in, treated it and went away fine) but it was Emptying out my bait on the mat so it must have been troughing, my main spot that's seen a lot of bait seems devoid of fish at present managed to sneak this one out the margins though using only a couple of handfuls šŸ˜Ž
only a bubba but quite a nice bubba.Ā
It feels pretty weird this being my last morning on here, I've had some glorious highs and some quite big lows tbh, it is far from complete but that's OK, I can always come back another year, for now I need a change.Ā
It's not the end Rodney just Bonjour.Ā

It's the final countdown to the final weekend on this place, I have been granted a rare 2 nighter and I plan to make the most of it, the only preconceived idea I have is I'm going to make it a banquet for them, got loads of pellets, loadsa boilies and some particles and I'm gonna use it, šŸ˜‚

Sounds promising, it's always good to talk about things, you can't sacrifice everything that makes you happy in life mate not a good thing to do. Hopefully you find a decent solution soon.Ā

    Blanked never stop learning,
I did a pack down time trial, 36 mins from mess to car, this can be beaten too with better organising and thinning of accessories etc, when I got home I immediately then went on to mention about my work overnighter plan as it is going to be busy at weekends , didn't go too badly I don't think i need to be fishing regularly to make it count this year, Sunday night prebait drop in tuesday sounds like a winner to me šŸ˜‚šŸ„‡

Thank goodness the Hobnobs survivedĀ šŸ˜Ā .
I wouldn't want to bump into a hungry Elmo in the night , worse than Homer Simpson with no beerĀ šŸ˜±Ā .
Oh just an after thought , how's the fishing going ? šŸ¤”.

I personally wouldn't assume they follow it atĀ  all,Ā  I'd only place a bait there if I actually saw them patrolling it or signs they patrol it.Ā
If you do decide to fish it then if its like lakes that I've fished before there may well be certain pick up points along it and not just cast on it and catch. One of the lakes the bars were mainly made up of large stones (the size of your fist or slightly bigger) and a bite cast on this was very hard to come by but by leading about you could find areas that were made up of much smaller gravel and this is where your bites came from.Ā
Just a bit of food for thought.Ā

Kites are beautiful birds for sure - the colours and the forked tail and a full adult is bloomin big with those wings fully extended - wow
This weekend i was so lucky to see an owl fly past really close and in the last hour of light so I got a great view, obvs no pics.Ā  I'd like to get a good deer shot - they are all around the lake, one came out from the poke hole I was fishing earlier that day, prob there whilst I was and I had no idea.
This place is something else tbh - so many swans, geese, ducks, herons, white crane things etc etc too many bird types it's unreal even a tiny tiny bird in the reeds by the river.Ā  Newts, frogs - toads and crickets in the bivvy (standard).Ā  It is a nature reserve and should defo be protected if not already.
This is a stinky winky screen print off my Instagram of my best fishing pic ever - I had this young kingfisher on my rods for 10 mins practicing picking stuff up out the water- insects, twigs, pebbles it was a great sight and I had my decent camera there and ready.Ā  One in a million I guess.Ā  In the full shots you can see the slack lines brilliantly too

Omg glad I got here when i did rammed now but I managed to get a decent swim probably my first choice tbh, (old faithful) what made it even better, within minutes of pulting out some bait I started seeing patches of fizzing in the area,3 shows and a few small rolls and stuff I had to wait to get my middle rod out til I thought they had moved off, then a bit later I did, good job because within half hour it had ripped off stripping line like it really wanted to get away , and I didn't want that as the pads are back up to the surface now, but I held on gave as little as I could and eventually after taking out both my other rods I netted it, 18lb mirror nice to be in a swim with a chance again, I'd sorted all the rods out again for about 10 mins I went to a fancy wafter combi rig with an 18mm wafter struck into a lifting bobbin but catching a 6oz rudd and it blunting the hook meant I went back to a Ronnie, so it's a ronnie on all 3 one match the hatch one tangee peach and one KLS,
KLS 1 other pop ups 0
I'm being greedy I want another one now come on the carpsĀ  šŸ™
Good luck ouch and anyone else out šŸ¤ž
