  1. I find the various liquids preserve the bait as they are salty. If I put the food source glug and some liquid krill on the boilies a couple of days before the session in a bucket they defrost, take some glug in and last for ages, I left them in the sealed bucket between session by accident and they were absolutley perfect still 2 weeks later. I don't air dry baits any more as that seems a bit pointless, I've also thrown in frozen baits and had no worries about that - why would you they defrost in the water.

  2. For years I have taken baits out of the freezer as I pack my gear into the car. I've rarely gone to the 'faff' of adding extra liquid or defrosting a day before. I'm not saying defrosting before use does not work, but I have caught on baits that have been put on the hair still part frozen, and sometimes within minutes of casting in.

    New purchases

Could use that part of the CRA. would also help if you could pick up the advert to prove it doesnโ€™t mention the fact it will only fit pre or post 2017 model.

  5. Decided to try and fish one of the new lakes on the complex this year, first time out had a walk round and found the motherload of the fish all tucked away and chilling had to barrow through a swamp and lots of flooded pathways but when my rod ripped off this morning I knew it was worth it, what I realised pretty quickly though was it felt pretty heavy, when I saw it I knew it was quite heavy, I chucked my other rod in the reeds and made sure I wasn't going to lose it by playing it as delicately as I could, I needn't have worried it was nailed on the ever faithful spinner rig, as I sit here contemplating what just happened I've realised I still haven't had a proper cuppa yet today so kettle on and chill time. 31lb not bad for a first night on a new lake ๐Ÿ˜Š

Take them out even longer before you go and just wash them out in a bucket of water about 3 days some stupid carp think they are safer as they have been in the water longerโ€ฆ..

    New purchases

How many times have I said updates and upgrades are not always better? Nor me. That's not a mark 2, it's a mark 2.5 or 3. I hope you get it sorted, you can always use the return of item as not suitable for use described. It is one you could win especially if you got Trading Standards or CAB involved as the description is not clear.

    Insurance

I had my garage done a few years ago and they took my fishing bag and a rusty drill I was glad to see the back of. I 'phoned my Insurance Company (can't remember their name unfortunately) and they tried to fob me off with "equivalents", like replacing my Avon Scales with a set of Little Sampsons. I had my name and 'phone on the inside flap of the bag and I got a call to say that it had been dumped and all my gear was still in it, the only thing missing was my ยฃ20 emergency fund, My mate is always selling on Facebook Market Place and not long after showing a shifty looking character around, he got done big time and in a professional hit, they made off with ยฃ8,000 of quality gear. He was with Lloyd's and couldn't fault them for the way they dealt with the claim. I got a heavy duty padlock bolted to the ground and an internal Yale alarm - my mate's alarm did go off but they filled it with expanding foam. I don't really trust Insurance Companies, they are normally quick to take your money and slow to pay out and even then, the bare minimum. Beef up your security as much as possible without drawing too much attention to the shed. If the worst does happen, don't expect the Police to come rushing round, they will only want to give you a crime number!

    Dogs and fishing

So what are you saying fellas ? ; it reads like you both want to be made a fuss of ๐Ÿ˜ . I'm a Postie , and usually what happens is a passing dog may strain at its lead to come over to me , and have a good sniff of my trainers . Then I'll give the dog a stroke after letting it sniff my hand . I just love meeting handsome dogs , who are much prettier than their owners ๐Ÿถ.
