    Spam Bomb

There has been an increased quantity of spam recently so for new members I have often been putting post moderation on. This is not because I don't want you posting, but sadly because I don't like having to deal with 30 posts advertising or linking to unsafe sites. Please feel free to introduce yourself in the New to Carp.com section https://forum.carp.com/forum/40-new-to-carpcom-new-to-carp-fishing/ and as soon as we can we'll approve the post so you can get a good welcome. To those members who have been reporting spam posts, many thanks, it really helps and to the other moderators, thank you for your help with this.

    Spam Bomb

A lot of forums are being targeted lately and admin and mods have to be on the ball to keep the forums a nice place to share your hobby with others

  3. Welcome to all Members of Carp.com and I apologise that I cannot reply to every individual New Member thread As much as we want you to be here please take a few minutes to read these Rules. NO SELLING OF FISHING TACKLE OR ADVERTISING FISHING SHOPS ON THE CARP.COM FORUM, and NO LINKS TO OTHER SITES , No swearing or racist statements, sexual innuendo, explicit language relating to racist, religous or any other insulting comments. No promotion or endorsing of any activities that are illegal e.g drugs/prostitution whatsoever. No advertising of sites/links without permission, if in doubt contact a Moderator. Links to shops/forums that are in direct competition to Carp.com are not permitted at all. No slandering or naming names/waters/clubs etc. on the basis of rumour. No posting of pornographic or offensive material, links to adult sites, pornagraphic pictures or jokes. No personal attacks/insults or harrasment of members be they race/ethnic/sexual/disability or religeous whatsoever. Any posts/avatars or pictures that show violence, pornography, drugs or conflict with any other rule are strictly forbidden. NOTE...PERSISTANT OFFENDERS WILL BE BANNED FOR A LENGTH OF TIME WHICH CAN BE UP TO LIFE, DEPENDING ON THE SEVERITY OF THE INFRACTION AS DEEMED BY THE ADMINISTRATORS AND MODERATORS. For a full definition of the rules and site usage hints and smallprint, see below or go to https://forum.carp.com/terms.php for full Terms & Conditions members agreed to when signing up for Carp.com. We don´t want to bother you with harsh restrictions and the like but there are some simple things that make life a lot easier for you, the other forum members and the mods. 1. Read the rules of this forum, and keep them in mind when posting. Most trouble with the mods or other members is caused by not holding to these rules. 2. Use the search engine as often as possible! There´s already a lot of information on here and you can learn a lot without posting yourself. Some members may get annoyed by answering the same question over and over again. A tip for the Search facility, when you type in the search term, click "search all terms", you can even specify which particular forum you want to search for posts in. 3. Be polite and friendly in your posts. For example DON´T SHOUT, so keep the CAPS LOCK Off 4. Check your spelling! It´s hard to read your posts if you don´t. For this matter there´s the edit button in the right corner of every post. 5. Contribute to this forum. This means don´t only ask questions although good questions are a contribution but answer questions if you´ve the knowledge. 6. If a post or thread you read is against the rules of carp.com report it to the mods. Therefore every post has the report this post button in the corner. Even if you think that a post is in the wrong place or is incorrect then report it (a "click" button to the right of the post). We would rather have report post notifications than a bunch of insults flying. Swearing will not be Tolerated on the Forum. I have removed and edited posts to remove [censored] language. There is no need for it. If you cannot post without swearing then simply do not post! As for Swearing, I don't care if you use asterisks, @, figures etc to replace a letter. The Implication is there and as far as I'm concerned counts as Swearing. If you cannot post without swearing then simply do not post! The post will simply be removed and the Member who swears will be BANNED INSTANTLY. I have also been removing Posts and Threads that are containing Text Talk. The reason for Text Talk is a Lack of space on a mobile Phone Text screen. There is no such limit on Carp.com replies/posts. It makes a post easier to understand if it is written in plain ENGLISH, with NO TEXT TALK. Ok spelling mistakes happen: typing too fast, unsure of a word. Please note that any posts which have TEXT TALK in that I see will be REMOVED. 35brvpx.jpg Then there is the most important part of Carp.com HAVE FUN!

    March catch reports

9 tench in total, safe to say they love my bait 🤣 Spoke to a few anglers over the last couple days and learnt a bit more about the lakes, they are saying pva bags/small amount of bait and being mobile is the best approach, spodding out quite a bit is asking for trouble as I found out 🤣 Gonna pick up a few bits from the tackle shop later and get on the solid bags I think. Gonna start using the brolly without a groundsheet again and just keep most of the stuff on the barrow so its easier to move lol. The hide xl is a wicked bivvy with a groundsheet but once it's all setup I can be a bit reluctant to move as it feels like ive set up camp🤣

  5. Sounds like a winner to me, only thing that puts me off I can never be bothered to mess about making groundbait balls 😂

  6. For real distance you need a long, curved stick. For accuracy and shorter range, straight is best. Hated them. It's like going back in time 20 years when we were all spodding without the line clip. All over the place 😂
