  1. Casting is gonna have to wait the 6 wrap kid is in town, I know boring but you ain't gonna catch if you ain't on em, and I have seen some signs. I did try all fingers abive the reel though, even at short range it felt pretty decent, one to continue with

  2. I have watched some of his vids and they do seem to help tbh, next thing I need to learn to adjust is my hands I need to put one more finger the front side of the reel, I've enquired about going today, my boat isn't charged so I may just go manual for once and use the spod/leading rod to the max šŸ˜²

    Thought of the Day pt.2

I would turn your thought on its headā€¦and be thinking all I need is Carp with a mild drinking habit and a fetish for plastic. šŸ¤” Best of luck šŸ¤ž

  4. Technique is everything, but it seems that 'The Korda Boyz' pushed heavier test curve rods as the long casting answer over practice. I'd frequently get back from fishing Sunday lunchtime and then spend the afternoon casting over the field. If we go back to the 1990's I was casting over 100metres with 2Ā¼lb test curve rods and original 4000 size Baitrunners, 2Ā½oz leads, shockleader and 8lb mono. The 2Ā¾lb Armalite mk.ll update saw 10lb line being used with leaders, to 2.75lb SP's and 15lb line and 3oz leads and reaching over 125metres, using bags and stringers. ** The Korda Boyz, a tongue in cheek remark about tackle brand sponsorship pushing heavier rods because they simply couldn't reach the distance because technique is lacking. Easier to buy new gear over spending time practicing.

    What is snag fishing?

100% agree. On my old lake 1 swim was made out of bounds due to one anglers inability to snag fish. He had 3 rods all with baitrunners on and lost 3 fish in 2hrs whilst the head bailiff was opposite him. If anyone decides to snag fish then they need to be 100% confident in their gear and their ability to snag fish.

    BEST THROUGH ACTION RODS

I've seen one of his recent videos and he recommends putting your whole hand in front of the reel. Feels weird but works

  8. I watched a video of some bloke with Ā£25 beach rod which was floppier than a floppy thing. I wouldn't grow runner beans up it let alone fish with it and he cast this rod 140yds on his first cast with it with ease. Its all about technique in my opinion. I'm not a big caster or I wasn't should I say. Watch Terry Edmunds on YouTube, he's done a few videos lately full of tips. So maybe work on your technique first as it might just save yourself a few hundred quid.

    BEST THROUGH ACTION RODS

I ended up using my 3.5lb tc's all the time simply because they could be fished at long range or under the rod tips. OK they won't be good in little poke holes but for everything else they were spot on.

    What is snag fishing?

Donā€™t do it unless you are confident in what you are doing slightest error on your end could potentially end in bad stuff.

    Thought of the Day pt.2

My thought of the day, why did I forget my hookbait bucket, I've had to use bottom baits with plastic an old dry wafter and a corked double tiger nut, worst thing to forget ever, I am also using leftover particles from the social it has white stuff on it and smells like moonshine. Going well so far.
