Just got back from a 24hr session and I used it with both inline and clipped up leads and it worked perfectly. I also used it with bottom baits as well as pop ups. I found my bottom baits were hooked perfectly. The place I'm currently fishing is heavily weeded and I'm not a fan of the Chod rig. Instead I used the spinner with a bottom bait attached to a mesh stuffed with particles and chopped boilies. I had eight carp and one tench. So don't worry about using inline leads with it. Hope this helps.
When you get on the bank it will all make sense mate 👍
ive gone through stages of not feeling it but the bug always comes back. Recently I’ve been hunting bass on the beaches, it suits my current lifestyle as I can get out for a few hours rather than doing an overnighter. A change is as good as a rest sometimes. It’s not been going to badly…
So I am actually going to venture out tomorrow for the first time since they stopped us going at the beginning of the last lockdown
Not actually feeling it yet either hopefully it changes when I get there…
There are a lot of times when I think I want some smaller rods, I remember the vaders feeling a bit odd for a while after 12ft ones, I think I just like a 12ft rod they just feel right I think , I still think I want some new ones though 🤔😂
Still waiting for the Trade Show video and new products... The AXS XL bivvy looks decent, inbetween a 1 man and 2 man, think its abit taller also, could do with some SKTek clothing range and a SKTek Buzz Bar Bag to complete the luggage setup.
I did have an Xtractor Setup for surface fishing for the summer, but that didn't last long, I did have it out once or twice, was abit weird as used to 12ft rods....
Mate caught his PB on it also, 21lb 12oz and he said it felt weird also.
Been looking at scaling down to 10ft 2 piece rods myself.

Thanks. To update I opted for the Sonik xtractor 8ft 3lb tc. They felt right and have a decent warranty. For £50 Im happy as my current 11ft rods cost me way over that back in 1990s.
I'm going tomorrow morning, went today and did some work at the lake and snuck some bait in, they were eating it by the time I left, I am excited now 😱
