Lad just been to JMO Foitball in Skelmersdale this afternoon to do a Trial.... He's got to play for North West England of England now... Got chosen to go back for an 8 week training, then if successful through that, plays for England in Barcelona next year.

Hi All... Well mind is ALL SET on Carp Fishing, Mainly for the relaxing side, Family also can chill, Take the Lad n Dog too. So I've refreshed all my gear and thoughts... Just made a HIDDEN order, more to buy tomorrow 😉😉.. Topping bait up, may even look at the KRILL ACTIVE with the new Wafters n Tuff Ones.

I used to have a 2 man bivvy, it went on every night /24 hr session... Honestly it was Maooosive, me n my lad could have a bed each in and still room for another... Now I'm on the Sonik AXS Brolly and Wrap, up and standing in about 10seconds (Honestly)... For the price of Brolly and Wrap you could go straight for the Sonik AXS Bivvy, but as a brolly, it caters for days and nights, if it gets abit chilly throw wrap on, it's also Pitch black with it on... There are different AXS versions.

Well after some thought (not much I’ll admit) I tracked down a pair of Diawa 7ht millionaire multipliers and ordered a pair of sonik SKS black 13ft beachcasters. Dusted off the beach stand, cleaned out the tackle box and sorted out the lug pump. Ordered the rods on priority delivery (next working day) still waiting for them... only ordered Thursday though so should be more patient!

Someone will know this correctly but I believe 3.5oz is about the correct size lead for a 3lb tc rod to help compress it fully, I read it somewhere I'm sure 📖😁

I used to match fish quite seriously... captained my club match team, fished in the Nationals for Chelmsford and at club level for quite a few years... I fished at Armigers lake on Billericay's club book and caught 103 carp in an afternoon... after that I was sated... had enough of it... I went back to carping albeit with different gear, but I took a lot of match knowledge and applied it to my carping, sometimes it works... sometimes not... Match fishing is fun... but now my interests have changed and I no longer feel the need to compete... that said if I go out with a buddy there's usually a quid on the day...😛🤣

If you got one of them fridge freezers the one with the little ice cream compartment this is not for you 😉

the arms race is on i have one of these on order i figured so long as i only use it from my own peg all's fair. i give you soon to be marketed in the uk, the boat blaster 5000 I can see nothing in the rules of fisheries or more importantly the ethics and etiquette of carp angling that could prevent an angler from deploying such equipment when fishing a lake.

got the new barrow went proper Scottish on it which can be a problem when you have a very old Warwickshire accent of which i am very fond of, as it got it from my grandparents. had some cheeky git say a i sounded like a hobbit from lor, i'll take that i thought. anyhow the barrow, sponsored by Tesco gold label tea.

Of course if you continue to talk about such inflammatory and distressing subjects as giving up carp fishing and becoming a match man, I may have to ban you... 😛😛😛

well that was a weekend to forget i know one thing from here on in it's hot swims only or once i get a barrow I'm going mobile on that dog, just cant catch a break if it ain't dye going in its feed or for some unfathomable reason the sluice gates are open meaning at this time of year the lake temps drop back to near freezing for a day or two i know the dye don't effect the fish but still some days the water looks like a massive toilet blue has been chucked in in fact that's not a bad idea, sure get em moving out the going swims, going to be a completely different angler turning up from now on.
