  1. My plans are to stay at the reservoir and estate lakes. & as seems commonplace loose a bit of weight and stop smoking๐Ÿ˜ Goal is to beat my PB (30), although to just start catching carp from the resi would be nice. It's been a bit of a learning curve on such a big water, but I'm enjoying what little time I have had there.. Everything considered, things are not too bad for me, I've got a job, my loved ones are OK, I hope the new year is kind to us all..

  2. Iโ€™ve put on 2 and a half stone since the first lockdown mate Iโ€™ve been stocking up on pies ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™m now hitting 18 stone on the scales, heaviest Iโ€™ve ever been. Diet starts after new year, might as well get Christmas out the way first ๐Ÿ˜‚

  3. I'm about the same, I started off the year losing nearly 2 stone then put it all back on and some since, and I think I am right up there with a new PB, this has got to be my no1 goal this year, maybe we could start a fishermans fat club thread where we are all accountable ๐Ÿ˜

  4. Well Big Bass, I'm glad you reminded me about this, I've failed on 2 counts๐Ÿ˜ž 30lb+ fish, My biggest was 28lb 4oz so a new PB and one I had felt I earnt a bit and had a mega session to remember, so not to unhappy, I managed 13 fish from the main lake and had a 10 fish in 24 hour blinder on the runs water, lost a few this year, relaxed, enjoyed it, didn't **** about with bait and rigs too much, unless it was required, a run of hook pulls rung the changes a bit, but fished on my own terms, sort of kept a good fishing life balance, took the kids a bit, they enjoyed catching a rudd a chuck, The other thing I failed at was not losing any timber ๐Ÿ™„ in fact I reckon I've gained a couple of branches ๐Ÿ˜ข But I think that's probably been down to this strange year, lots of emotional eating and just trying to keep all the balls in the air, obviously losing my dad this year wasn't in the plans, and if I am honest I still don't really feel like I've had the time to completely come to terms with it, I sort of think one day when this year is done and we get back to normal I will process it, but I try and carry on pretending everything is fine, I think for me fishing has been a success this year, and been the glue that's held me together and I've probably had my best year to date, personally it's been a roller-coaster, so a yin yang thing but I'm definitely a lot stronger than I thought I was, which is nice and I pretty much did what I set out to do which was also nice ๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. you are right about trying to fish more and definitely right about riding motorbikes more..... I have a couple of dirt bikes in my ever growing collection of motorcycles.. but it just didn't seem right putting myself at risk by riding offload this year with everything else going on.. hopefully 2021 will be a better year all round.

  7. My goals for 2021 stay with the same club try and fish more 2020 has been a bad year for fishing for me. Early 2021 perch and then try for the carp, I'm not setting any targets for myself I'm just going to try and get out more and enjoy it. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ Also I want to get out on my motorbike more. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜

  9. My 3 goals for next year 30lb + carp and to catch more than 13 from the big lake, both are gonna happen ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ And the big one got to lose weight and be healthier, I've been feeling a bit ill lately I have a phone chat with the docs today about my blood test results, I think that's a sign things need to change currently 21st need to be about 4st lighter I reckon, I'm getting old now and need to start looking after myself properly ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

  10. My plans are first see IF the lake is open for fishing as we are going back in lockdown (Wales) if so start walking the lake at night as daytime shows donโ€™t exist now while Iโ€™m at the lake walking the hounds etc get some new feeders and just keep at it as I have been just more concentrated on spots the regulars donโ€™t fish with the bait boats an sounder see if my face fits this coming yr for the night syndicate I doubt it tho without knowing it I called the head bailiffs misses a nosy cow for poking her nose in where it wasnโ€™t wanted Ooopps my bad but people should leave people alone if they are just out there on their own fishing not causing trouble and holds a ticket for said water Canโ€™t cry over spilt milk done Iโ€™ll just keep chipping away at it
