  1. Well the old life seems to be going pretty well today, sold my old car this morning, my kids wanted to stay with nanny for a bit so I pegged it home got changed and loaded up, wanged it straight down the lake, just managed to bucket "The swim" in time before some others turned up, I was told someone had a couple out of here last weekend, but karma is on my side today they've had a free feed in the week, the regular haunts are all chocca so I'm not in a bad little spot, rods are out, just got the bivvy up before it rained, now all we need is Mr carp to pay a visit beeeeeeeeeep

  2. 99% of the time I've been there, unfortunately there's waves to nearly a foot. It's such an expanse if water on the side of a hill, the wind is constant, even when it's not forecast for any. My eyes often play tricks on me after watching the water for a while. It's hard because the water is never flat calm. I take your point and try to learn every trip , but I know with this place it's a marathon not a sprint.

Its gone very windy and rainy and has also decided to aim straight at me ☔ I almost don't fancy getting a bite for an hour or so while it passes 😳

Its a nightmare fishing in amongst nasty snags .... inevitably you end up leaving stronger & stronger tackle behind , which in turns causes other issues! .You not found anywhere better to concentrate your feed a bit less hazardous? Gutting about the loss mate nothing worse .

I should be so lucky, it's a few hundred meters with the barrow to the nearest swim. A bit further as the waters dropped. General rule of thumb is you should be over a hundred yards away from the nearest angler. So can be a bit of a trek. The guys that use boats drive to the launch slip which looks easy enough to load straight into a boat. I jyust need the spare £££'S to buy an electric outboard and battery. Normally it's the time of year I'd ask for this kind of prezzy, but going to be looking at cost saving this year. Even plan on donating certain items to those less fortunate than myself
